Postural Extension Back Straightener Brace - Rigid Posture Corrector Vest for Kyphosis Hunch Relief, Mild Scoliosis Support, and Hunchback or Lordosis Spine Treatment

I've had this for 3 days now ( never review right out of the box) and worn it for a couple of hours a day so far. I have rather extreme kyphosis - by the time I would walk 30-50' I would be bent over at least 30 degrees - basically looking at the ground - and in teeth gritting pain.I gave pain relief 3 stars as the basic pain that I have using the brace is the pressure of the steel plate against my thoracic spine. This is a good thing - it means that it's doing it's job. I expect it will take months, to a year to get real straitening. Correcting structural damage to your spine I know will take time and effort. In other words: if you're looking for a quick fix - you're not going to get it. Consider the alternative of surgery on 12 vertebrae! I expected irritation of the armpits from the straps - it was a bit irritating the first day - today it is comfortable. I've looked at expensive braces from medical device companies, and this is comparable.The first day I was excited enough to walk around the block using a walker. That told me this was a keeper. This isn't for use in the gym; it's for spinal correction. I'm a 75 y.o man with two lumbar surgeries and I'm planning on enjoying life at 80!

I purchased this product for a painful T12 vertebral body compression fracture. The broad lumbar band is easy to use and provides good support. This worked well for my fracture location. The shoulder straps fall short of the mark. If this product's purpose had been to support a compression fracture higher in the thoracic vertebral column, tightened shoulder straps would have been important. Unfortunately, the adjustment buckle for the shoulder straps only facilitates tightening, but not easy loosening while worn so that the back brace can be easily put on and taken off. As a consequence, I left the shoulder straps loose. With a better adjustment mechanism for the shoulder straps, I would have given this product 5 stars despite its high price.

This product might seem pricey at first but it is definitely worthwhile. It adjusts well to suit any size needed. This product works very efficiently. I had an injury in my back and the back brace rested and allowed it to heal. Due to having another injury in my side I had to stop using it but the company was kind enough to let me return it. Overall great product and service.

Fantastic support though I wish two different kinds of Velcro had not been used. Or at least that seems to be the case from the looks of it as well as one area holding much better than another.I resolved this by wrapping a belt around it to keep it from disconnecting. Really appreciate the design though. As someone with hand and back issues, the design makes putting on just like a back pack. And it also improves my posture pulling my shoulders back.

My doctor cringed that I bought this. If you have kyphosis, do not buy this!!! It could actually hurt you!

Definitely good material. Keeps me straight and helps my back.

The closest that I could find to one I had 40 years ago. The buckle under arm needs pull in towards chest. Still looking for steel bars and all leather with straps and thin buckles for adjustment
