The clamp-on LED magnifier lamp was a Christmas (2019) gift for my Dear Hubby (aka: Studmuffin). It is lightweight, impressively (very very) bright, and the clamp appears to hold it securely on vertical and horizontal surfaces. The flexible gooseneck holds the lense in place without sagging. The flip-up covered magnifying lense is clear and sufficiently distortion free to be very helpful for work requiring a clear close-up view.My DH was most impressed with the flip-up cover on the magnifying lense (it’s the simple things ... ). He is using the lamp out in our “Garage Mahal”, and everything out there gets covered with a layer of sawdust and blown in sandy silt eventually. That simple little lense cover not only helps keep the magnifying lense clean, it helps prevent scratches from ‘some person’ hastily wiping off gritty dust with their hand (grinding the lense).I have no idea how long the lamp may survive in my DH’s tool-topia, but He is quite pleased with it for now. We had a bit of fun playing with it on Christmas Day. Who knew a little lamp with a magnifier and dimmer switch could be so entertaining for adults and kids. Neurotic families that play together stay together! :-DI was impressed enough with the lamp that I am ordering another one for myself to use when I sew, paint objects d’art, and feel other types of crafty urges surging and need to see what I’m doing.If the lamp ever fails catastrophically, blows up, or burns the garage down, I’ll post a follow-up. For now we are both happy little lamp owners and give it 5 stars!

This clamp-on magnifying desk lamp is very sturdy and solid. The bendable arm is all metal. The magnifying glass is real glass and I like that it has an on/off switch on the actual light part. I also like that you can close the lid and have the light shine down and not have it in your eyes. (The light shines down with the lid open as well). It would be perfect if it weren't for the small clamp. It is a metal screw type clamp which is good but, it is not large/deep enough if you have a beveled edge to your desk. It will work perfectly if the edge of what you are attaching it to is straight. I wrote to the email address that came in the packaging to see if they have a clamp that will accommodate a beveled edge. We will see...

I totally LOVE This lamp. It fits nicely on the edge of my computer stand which sits to the left of my chair. I am a ceramic artist and this magnifying feature is fabulous for my close up work painting faces on figurines. I love that it has a dimmer light but it's a bit difficult to get that feature to kick in when pressed. I believe the lamp has UV rays which might be a problem for anybody who has had Melanoma cancer, and has been told to avoid UV light. The light from this lamp is as bright as a sunny day. Enough so that I think one could maybe get a sun burn. If you have no concerns about the UV light issue then by all means this is a fabulous lamp.

Absolutely thrilled with this magnifying desk light. I’ve bought a couple of these but hated that you couldn’t find anything at craft stores with more than 3x magnification, unless you consider the 1 inch diameter magnifier within a magnifier, but that tiny window is hard to look through for extended periods of time. The clamp is rudimentary, but one of the best clamps I’ve seen on this type of light/magnifier. It adjusts to any thickness of table & clamps on so tight I thought I’d split the wood on my desk! The light is almost too bright on it, so I’m thankful it has a dimming function. I’ve never used the light at 100% power. The sheerness and quality of the lens is top notch, and it came with a handy cloth to wipe dust off the lens. My only complaint is the flimsy lens cover. My dog bumped it and it snapped off, breaking one of the tiny peg to hold it on the magnifier, so now I can’t put it back on. I guess I’ll have to windex the lens often, LOL. That’s the only reason I knocked a star off; otherwise, I would’ve given it the full five stars. Great product, fast shipping, packaged well, and only one tiny complaint. I’m happy!

It took me forever looking through Amazon to decide on this product. I’m glad I ordered this one. I ordered two. One my daughter uses for sewing and the other I use when building terrariums. My husband saw me using it and he was impressed how bright the light is. He has one similar that was more expensive and without the magnifying capability. I’m going to order him one and another for myself. 😂

I am a rock and fossil collector and wanted something that I could attach to my display shelf to examine my specimens closer. This magnifying light is awesome! I love that I can change the position and move it to whatever I want to look at. I am considering purchasing a couple more so I have one on each book case. This is my "rock room" so I have several different displays. I absolutely love it!

This light attached easily...I was actually pretty amazed at the simplicity. I love it! I do paint by number crafts and it is exactly what I needed to help me see the tiny numbers. The light is also easy to move to another location since it uses a vice-like clamp. I can see this lamp being great for people doing crossword puzzles by hand, artists, journalers, and cross-stitch.

I just got this Magnifier Lamp and am stoked at how well I can see tiny details when doing my crafts. The 23" long Flexible Gooseneck is just right. I wouldn't go any shorter! The brightness is awesome and the ability to dim the light is a great addition. I purchased the extended warranty on it, so I'm not too worried about it breaking down. But at such a really good price, It lasting a year would be worth the money in my opinion. Love Love Love It!
