A good recording. The orchestra has depth and character and blends well with the vocals for an overall smooth and dramatic sound.

Cleveland Orchesta as good as with Solty, the interpretation is Powerfull such a masacre, interesting . The CD did not capture the contrast as the LP

With published scores becoming scarce, thank god things can be found on this site. A score like this in a music store would have cost one dearly. This particular score is reasonably priced, but the book is not super huge, so it's for study only. You wouldn't want to conduct with this edition, but the edition itself is accurate and well edited. Besides it's Eulenberg.

Whether it's accurate or not I can't tell. I can't read the very small notation. I have perfect vision and it's impossible for me to read one measure out of these tiny notes. Maybe it's good if you want to follow the score like a map, to kind of know what instruments are playing in a certain passage and the register. I don't think you can actually sit by the piano and sight read anything.

I've spent years, hunting for a full Orchestral study score, for this piece. And all, due to an obsession, over one number in it. (#10, "Were du werlt alle min", the one that starts with a Trumpet Fanfare).

He’s my music degree child looking for a job. He’s got excellent skills in music theory and I love it when he comes over to visit. He always teaches me something new, but a lot of his skills are way above my pay grade taking piano lessons. He just got to direct high school choirs for a semester and absolutely loved it. He just needs to go back and finish whatever he needs to be able to be hired as a teacher. He graduated with major in music and a minor in recording technology. He loved getting this and follows along with it and pretends he’s conducting a choir.

Please to be able to study the score before preparing excerpts for performance. Good size for the book shelf and clear print.
