Smearage? - Solvent, Heat or Mechanical - They are ideal for my purposes.
These rules seem splendid. I bought them as a result of liking the quality and vfm of their 6" siblings. In the interim I read a 1* review saying the ink graduations were smearing. I wonder how what and why. Typical engineering questions. I like that I can provide each grandchild with a personal measure/ruler/scraper/sword/paint stirrer for less than ONE "proper" quality one. Maybe my crew of destruction testers can shed light on cause for suspicion!

Rulers for a Work Bench
As expected, they are steel rulers. Accuracy matches another of my rulers so all good there. I shall be using them as a hard edge to a work bench.
