Perfect for people who struggle to cook a meal for themselves.
Honestly, this product is life changing for me. Yes it's expensive but the convenience it offers is brilliant. They have a good shelf life so you can buy in bulk. Tastes great. Pair with some veggies, an egg and a bit of pork or chicken and drizzle with some Kewpie Mayonnaise... Amazing.

Japanese quick rice.
Yes it's more expensive than Japan let's get past that.Getting it on subscription saves very little but the convenience of having some on hand is highly valued. Now if you've had quick microwave rice in Japan you know, it taste great and bit different to the rice cooker. But having lived in Japan and with my Japanese partner, sometimes waiting 45 minutes for the rice to cook is time we don't have.Look at it this way, not much more expensive than your local store quick rice so I'd say this is perfect.Tasty, just like in Japan.

Easy and authentic
It's so nice to be able to eat Japanese rice cooked with water from Japan (I'm from Japan). I think soft water makes rice sweeter and gives a clearer taste, can't get this taste easily with hard water in the UK. Great product, especially lovely when I'm missing home!

Good but I wouldn't be repurchasing because of high price
The product itself is nice, and if these rice boxes were available, say, in packs of 10 or even 20, at a lower price, I would be very interested. As it is, £1.50 for just one box is too expensive.

Handy for sushi
This rice is perfect for making a quick batch of sushi. Simply heat it in the microwave, add your sushi vinegar and voila! It’s perfectly cooked and nice and sticky. It is expensive compared to other pre-cooked rice products, but well worth it if you’re like me and can’t be bothered to steam a batch of rice for sushi...

So soft like heaven
I thought I'm pretty good at cooking and have pretty decent quality of Japanese rice until I tried this microwave one. Oh dear how can I gonna go back and eat my own rice now. This rice make my rice taste like cardboard. I'm really not ready to spend £5-£8 per kg for top quality koshihikari rice coz I eat Japanese rice on a daily basis 😭😭😭 This rice is just like heaven. I've never eaten any rice that make me feel this good before. It's soft, chewy, sticky and perfectly cooked. Highly recommended.

Lovely rice, extortionate price
Love this rice, so convenient, have ordered many times and now set up regular monthly delivery.Edit: Cancelled as price has tripled, ridiculous and greedy

If you want microwaveable sticky/sushi rice, this is a great one to pick
I adore sticky rice with Thai food and have been searching for a perfect microwaveable version for a two minute prep supper of Thai peanut sauce and sticky rice. This is terrific and I will be buying repeatedly. Be aware that some recipes call Thai Jasmine rice 'sticky' and it's not. Jasmine leans more towards a long grain that has a little cling. Jasmine has its own taste. Sticky rice is integral to the grain due to a starch content that is high in amylopectin, so don't be surprised that it clumps together. That's how it's supposed to be. For a super quick pudding, sweeten a little coconut milk and drizzle over the rice, when cool, serve with sliced mango. Heaven.
