Not as advertised
I had intended to provide a favorable review of the All Things Cedar pergola, but after being burned by the inaccurate advertised size of the pergola and thereafter reaching out to customer service, I will be lowering my review rating by two stars. The dimensions noted in the product description are "82w x 72d x 74h", however this is not the case. After I had completed the assembly of the three components, stained the wood, and then connected them together did I discover that the actual outside dimensions is 69”w x 53”d. The dimensions with the product listing are for the rafters on top of the pergola! Who does this deceptive advertising? I looked at another pergola that I was considering on Amazon and their dimensions read: “Arbor top dimensions: 12' w x 10' d , Post-to-post dimensions inside: 7' x 9'.” That is truth in advertising.I reported this to All Things Cedar and instead of offering an apology, they ignored my point that the advertising was misleading and instead only said the dimensions are accurate “exactly as listed!!” and “… are in fact the actual product dimensions - as stated.“On the positive side, the wood was of superior grade with no warps and minimal cracks. There were a few misaligned holes and two missing holes, but that was easily corrected by me. The installation of the rafters was hampered by the wrong locations of the predrilled holes, but again a minor problem. The major issue which resulted in a deducted star was that the instructions were woefully inadequate and confusing. I am a mechanical engineer by degree and I had a hard time following how to place together the pieces. Many times the instructions were either wrong or left it to the imagination which side is up or which side gets screwed to the next piece. Only by consulting the finished picture on the web site was I able to understand how the pieces were to fit together. It is imaginable to me that All Things Cedar does not realize this and correct their instructions. It is also worth pointing out that nothing is provided preassembled, even the lattice work required painstaking assembly.I decided to stain the wood with a cedar stain in order to preserve the pergola. This was a major undertaking and if I had to do it over, I would stain the individual pieces before assembling them.Overall I am pleased with the pergola (see photo), but had counted on a larger one. In fact, Amazon has a larger one for less money, but the advertised All Things Cedar 82” x 72” is what I wanted. Now I have to settle for the smaller size.

wasn't checked very good before packaged.
The set is pretty, but they didn't put the holes in it to put together. They didn't put enough nails and hardware in it. Had to make a couple trips down to the hardware store to be able to put together.

Only 2 years old and has not held up. Wood has split and the side trellis have fallen apart
Poor quality

Good quality. Poor instructions.
The material is a good quality. The lack of labeling on the pieces plus the poor instructions made this assembling a nightmare.
