Dyna-Flex Gyro Exercise Ball is awesome
I was told about this item from a friend. I went to Big 5 Sporting Goods and bought one.It did NOT come with a cd to explain how to use it. I could not get it to work because of that lack of instruction. I returned it.A couple of months later he told me about the battery operated starter, so I got another one, but from Amazon, and got the power starter.I LOVE this device now. It came with the info disc. Yeah !!I have used it once a day for a week. About 30 min each time. I switch it from hand to hand, as my forearms get tired.Seriously....I FEEL the strength in my arms, shoulders, and hands returning. You see, I have a bad back, so lifting weights and 'working out' causes pain in my back that can last several days. This device is giving me my life back, a little at a time.I went camping for 5 days with my 15 yr old G-child over T-day wknd. We took turns using it, then handing it off to each other. Once you get it spinning, you can keep it going forever.I use it while watching TV, reading, and web-surfing.

Fun toy or Addicting exercise ball? - BOTH
At first when I received this ball the back cover broke off within a couple days simply from removing it to put the speed meter on. I emailed amazon that day and the next day air mailed me a brand new replacement!! Plus the replacement actually looks like the picture you see in the description as my first one did not it was branded completely different for some reason.Anyways you can start it either with the string provide which is super easy or by hand which takes some practice but once you get this baby going... man you can feel the burn especially in your forearms and hands. The CD it comes with is very cheesy but gives you a couple simple workouts and when using the ball you can actually feel it working your whole arm including your biceps! One bit of advice is NEVER touch the inner ball while it is spinning, I dropped it once and tried to catch it. I succeeded in catching it but also got the skin on my hand sucked in and had a painful blood blister for a week and a half.Basically if you are looking for a fun way to strengthen your arms, fingers, or hands this product is for you. If you are looking for a conversation starter that doubles as a workout device this is also for you. My friends are amazed at how fast this thing gets going and the amount of resistance it generates! I use this daily while studying, reading, watching tv,and while walking outside even though I look like an idiot haha. Great product, fun to use, backed by amazon if its defective and just a nice device to have around :)!

Really works.
I have been working out a lot more this year and my wrists and elbow were starting to bother me. Long days at work in front of a keyboard seemed to bother my wrists too.I found my Dynaflex in my drawer at home and brought it out to work. I have been spinning this device about 10minutes on each arm 3-4 times a week for a month. Big difference. My grip is improved and my wrists have not been bothering me. I was afraid that the exertion on my forearms might aggravate things further, but I feel much better.I threw away my string the first day I got the device. You don't need it. One needs to exercise patience and learn the motion and rhythm needed to start the ball. I give it a quick spin from the middle with my finger and can get it started without problem.

Great product!
Great product!! Works perfectly. I recommend getting this one, the pro plus, it provides the perfect amount of resistance for me. I am 25 and enjoy doing calisthenics. This product improved my grip strength, which in return, helped me to better full body weight dips and pull-UPS. Yesterday, in fact, I noticed my grip improving. I was pushing my motorcycle, a little ninja that weighs 300lbs, and accidentally ran over my own toe. Throwing myself and the bike off balance. The bike began to tip over, I guided the bike slowly to the ground not to damage it, then with one single handed tug I successfully pulled the bike back up to riding position. Impressed myself, because I know how heavy the bike is. Only downfall of this product is that I feel it is a little small in size. I hope the come out with an XL version for bigger hands.

Great for wrist, forearm, fingers, grip strength....
Got this initially because of some pain in my left wrist...if you look online there are different exercises you can do for different part of your arm/wrist/fingers. People complain about it being hard to start or learn how to do but for me it is easy. There isnt that much of a learning curve. As long as you have the string that it comes with its really easy to start, and even if you dont it can still be started but it is a little harder (but do-able)

Ball works fine for now
Ball works fine for now. There are lots of posts about bearing failure and weird noises. As an engineer, this tells me it needs lubrication. Spray some WD in there every once and a while and it should be fine. One disappointment was that the package states that there is an instructional CD inside with exercises. However, when I opened the package, there was no disc inside.

Challenging to get started. Must have patience to operate.
Ok, this is my third that I've owned the first was probably defective, but I didn't know it at the time. I broke both of those in frustration. The second one worked great for a while, until one day i became so frustrated trying to get it started that I threw it across the room. When it worked it worked great. Now that I am looking to strengthen the wrist and forearm again, I remembered how great it worked. I thought I would try it again. This one didn't come with a shoelace to start it with, and there is no mention of a shoelace in the directions. Okay I'll try one of my own shoelaces. Wait, too large, it doesn't fit into the hole. Okay I'll follow the directions and use my palm to start it with. After about ten or so tries to start it with my palm, I broke this one too. Very frustrating.
