.com In this quartet of friendship stories, the first two focus on the relationship between the blue octopus and his best friend Henry the penguin. When Henry's cousin from the Frozen North comes to town, Oswald feels left out as the birds bond over mackerel and polka. In the next story, he faces every child's fear when Henry decides to move north with his cousin. But unlike real life, Henry has a change of heart and decides to stay with his friends only to fight with Daisy in the next episode after she uses his spoon as a shovel. The final episode finds all the friends overcoming obstacles to see a musical act together. This Nick Jr. series features kid-friendly voices from the expected--cartoon veteran Debi Derryberry and The Wonder Years' Fred Savage--as well as the unexpected: Laverne and Shirley's David Lander and early SNL regular Laraine Newman. Oswald is the best for kids!!!
This is one of the rare cartoons that you are still able to watch on Nick Jr. that is not loud or annoying. As the parent, I even enjoy it! I would highly recommend any tape or DVD of Oswald to a parent of a little one. Even my 9yr. old niece loves Oswald!
