It exceeded my expectations.
Ok... after reading some of the other reviews I will admit I had some reservations.BUT... I received it yesterday and it actually exceeded my expectations. The most common negatives I read were "no instructions" and "Olympic plates don't fit".The first one is true. Mine did not come with instructions. However, it took about 45 seconds to figure it out and put it all together. No tools required for assembly. The only thing I had to do was screw the standing pipe into the base. It actually looks just like the picture. The second complaint I saw is not true. I had no trouble getting 45# Olympic plates to fit. I will mention that the center pipe is too small to fill the standard 2" hole and that the plates clank around if you use jerky movements. But I found the audible feedback very helpful in smoothing out my gait. Once I got my stride in synch, the plates stopped clanking and my run was actually quite smooth.HANDYMAN HACK: If the clanking bothers you, you can pad the gap with hot water pipe insulation or just stuff a wash cloth in the holes. Both worked well. However, I like the audible feedback. It reminded me to keep my chest up and drive more smoothly with my glutes instead of trudging. One reviewer mentioned that 1" plates like you get in smaller weight sets do not fit. This is absolutely true! The center pipe is just barely too big for 1" plates. (Mine have a little slop in the center hole and got stuck on the pipe.)I don't recall if a reviewer already mentioned it or not but pushing on the raised bar where the vest attachment ring is does not work, especially in grass or dirt. The rear end of the skids WILL dig in and could cause you to face plant on the center pipe if you lose your grip. Almost happened to me. I put a dead tennis ball on it for some protection and to increase visibility on the end of the black pipe. You may want to wrap it with warning tape to make it more visible.HERE'S A HACK FOR THAT: Anyone who has an Evil Overlord for a trainer has probably done modified bear crawls where you push a 45# plate across the indoor turf. You can do the same thing with the sled. Put a 45# plate on it and push it from the back. The curved front end won't dig in and you can sail across the yard. Just be careful you don't trip or otherwise lose your grip. That standing pipe WILL get you in the face if you give it a chance. Again, padding it with a dead tennis ball works well.Another complaint I noticed was how difficult it was to figure out the harness. It goes on just like any other weight vest. The MIR company logo goes in front. You might want to connect the tow strap to the ring on the back of the vest before you put it on. The ring in front works equally well for facing the sled and pulling it backwards. I'm not sure what the upper rings are for but they made a great place to hang my car keys and my stop watch. :-)Lastly, I noticed someone comment that 'it only holds 200 pounds". Yeah...right. I put 2 45s and 2 25s on it and did 25-yard grass sprints. By the fourth sprint, I was gassed. Outdoor grass has A LOT more friction than indoor gym turf. If 200# isn't enough, do a few more laps in a grassy field. Or, find a nice long hill with a 15% grade and go for it. Get creative and you won't need more than 200#. :-)So... overall I am very pleased with the purchase. The sled is welded construction feels pretty sturdy. It's small and compact so it's easy to carry around and easy to store. The vest is well made and the tow strap appears to be durable. I don't know how long the attachment ring on the handle will last but if it breaks I plan to just girth hitch a nylon loop strap around it and get on with life. (You can get them for $4 or $5 from a local sporting goods store or Amazon.)Last night I saw some videos about hooking up a TRX and doing pulling/pushing exercises. Can't wait to try them tonight.

Simply made but effective
This is a good product for the money. I have been satisfied with this equipment. I have been using this product for 2 months. The vest is very comfortable. The strap is high quality. This product has taken my workouts to the next level. I use it 3 times a week.

If you are just beginner this a good starting sled
I am not a novice lifter, however, I'm no pro either. My daughter and I use this sled for backwards sled pulls. We use it 5-6X per week pulling 5 mins each time. This sled will work and meet your needs especially if you are just starting out. Once you have been doing it for awhile you realize that you might want something else. We joined a gym and they have another sled we use. It is more sturdy and has held up way better than this sled. The center pole on this sled has paint coming off and starting to rust. We sled with 2-45 lb plates and 3-10lb weights. Sliding the weight on/off has taken its toll on the center post. We have used it this way for about 5 months. Will it hold up...probably for a year...will update. We do not use the vest at all. it is too big for my daughter and I prefer to use a belt they have at the gym. The strap and clips are great. We will be training hard over the upcoming summer. Not sure of what sled I would upgrade to because the name on the sled in gym has been worn off. If I find it I will add to this post. I don't regret buying this but now that I know what I know, for us, would probably buy a different one.

Excellent for cost!
Great little sled. Ordered for my son, chest rig didn't fit, so I was able to just wrap around his waist and rig it to work. Tried it out and it's fantastic. I have Ivanko Olympic plates so fitment of weights is not an issue. Should hold up, time will tell.

Poor final paint job
The sled looks sturdy overall. Harness looks and feels comfortable. I think the manufacturer skipped out on the painting process. There are many chips and scratches on the sled and i haven't eve used it. I do understand the paint could scrap off over time but not right out of the box. I think the product could easily be a 5 star product if the supplier chose to anodize paint the sled.

GREAT FOR STARTERS!!
Love this sled! I’ve been using it during my 1 on 1 trainings and my clients love it. The vest is comfortable too! I will say that the strap that attaches to the clip is already ripping but I’ll be replacing it with a chain. Other than that it’s a good starter sled. Small but good.

Nothing better for the price.
I was searching the internet for prowlers and sleds, and decided to search Amazon. Once seeing an MiR sled at this price I had to check it out. I already own a weight vest from them that is insanely secure fitting and comfortably so I had a prior history with this brand. The sled arrived within three days, was easy to set-up, and simple to use.So far, I've done 100lb and 145lb workouts with the sled. It's worked amazing and I'd recommend it to anyone. For the CrossFit community, it will not fit the bumper plates we use. I've used 25lb and smaller iron plates, and another reviewer stated that 35's will fit on as well.Oh, don't use it on cement/asphalt/etc. It wears down the bottom quickly. Grass/turf/rubber track only.
