Great gripper but 100# is too weak, get the set
Five stars for quality and appearance. Good knurling. This is a very attractive and seemingly well built gripper. At "100#" though this is pretty weak. I have never trained my grip before and have popped my knuckles all my life. As most men go, my hands are not that strong for shaking and crushing. If you are interested in grip training than the odds are that you've done a fair amount of exercise otherwise and if that's the case, you can rep this thing outside of its range of usefulness. It is much easier than the workforce or pony brand spring clamp from home depot which are obviously not designed for grip training. After buying this, getting it in the mail and seeing my wife close it a few times (she is no strong woman) I ordered the next three in line. At this point I have nearly enough invested in them to have bought the whole 1000-350 set outright with shipping. I that seems like too much money to spend and you are serious about starting grip training then SAVE UP! Regardless of what you may have read, these are good grippers. You can get six of these shipped for th price of three IM CoC gripppers and if hand strength is what you're after (not "I closed the #..." bragging rights) then buy the set. While you're waiting to accumulate the dough, do some finger curls, pinch holds and roller work to prepare yourself for the crush training to come. One last thing, if you're looking for a single gripper and have never handled one before (a real one I mean) then it will be impossible to gauge your perfect starting gripper. I would suggest that if you are a man who dealifts, does pull-ups or any other heavy back exercise w/o wraps then the 200# would be the one to get. It may be too tough to close at first for some, but shouldn't take long. Do partials and negatives until you can. It's better to get a gripper that's a little too hard then one that's too easy. The 100# is too easy. Don't waste your time with anything less than the 200# unless you buy the set, then the 100 and 150 become EXCELLENT training tools to warm up and acclimate your hands to the loads that they will be responsible for crushing.I hope that this helped someone and appologize for the length.

Good quality - sized right for large hands.
I sit on my rear all day as an engineer in an office. Non-stop for hours focused on a workstation monitor is tough and I was in the market for anything to provide some productive physical activity to break the monotony of the day. I purchased these and they have worked out great (pun intended).I keep the hand grippers at my desk and use them at least once an hour. I also like to squeeze them when I'm on difficult conference call. They're great stress relievers.I've been doing this for the last several months since purchasing. It has helped keep my hands more flexible and tolerable of working on a keyboard all day. It has also, as you would expect, increased my strength. I haven't found it necessary to trade-up to more resistance as I simply will squeeze more slowly and hold longer when I need more work out of the grippers.Even if you aren't after strength training I highly recommend these as just a healthy alternate activity that you can do while at work.

Quality trainer
I like that it's all metal, has a nice design and it's a great quality trainer at value! It started squeaking after a few days of use, it doesn't bother me because it's not loud, this can be mitigated by using the right oils every now and then.I highly recommend this over the plastic ones and the expensive name brands. Also, get the 100LBS one If you're a beginner.

Mr Hand Man
It dawned on me that it's time to get my hand strength up because of all the years of video gaming. Better grip strength ment stronger holds, whether it's doing push ups, pull ups, trying to crush an apple lol, I don't know.I bought the 100 lb gripper and I just want to point out that my starting strength would be beginner at best, and that I could not close these grips with my left hand even once. After one week of gripping and holding, rep after rep throughout the day, and finally clicking handles with my left hand once, I'm now able to do it 20+ times and should probably step it up to the 150 (or higher for a better challenge) If you have a somewhat faint strength in your hands I would suggest the 100 lbs, or like others have said, skip it and goto the 150.One thing I wish was better on these is the knurling. Kind of hard to get a concrete grip. I read reviews on the knurling to be a bit slippery but I wanted to find out for myself. Now experiencing this, I probably would have went with the captains of crush, but I have no regrets buying these grippers, as they have definitely improved my overall grip strength.Decent set of grips and would recommend these to anyone looking into getting their strength up from a beginners stand point.

Good Grippers
I ordered this a couple of weeks ago after I saw a buddy of mine with the full set squeezing what I think was the 250. I think back then I was only able to 3/4 way squeeze the 150. So naturally I felt shame. So I got this in the mail and after just 2 weeks I already see improvement. Its really cool Im on break right now and I give this a good couple of reps between every Halo match or so. I already feel stronger and I can see it in my arm and feel it in my hand. Also its a cool to have out if you have friends over, I noticed everyone just playing with it. Plan on ordering the 150 soon then the 200. I recommend going on youtube and looking up Heavy Grip, cause a video will teach you a nice workout. But once again good product.

It’s a good handgripper
I completed my whole set of the Heavy Grips. The 100 lbs gripper is a good warmup. I can close the Gripper king 300 lbs and now working to my Gripper monster 350
