My chinchillas prefer chewing on this more than anything else.

looks like a good product but the washers are too small for 1" bars, which a block this big should have, it should even have washers big enought for 1.5" bar spacing as it is the size for large parrots

Do not buy!3 days in with our chinchilla and he died. Our healthy 11 month old little boy died. He was happy and healthy prior to putting this in his cage!True pumice is pourous all the way through. I cut into this and you can see the attached photo is NOT.And who knows if safe glue or paint was used on this.

This product snapped off where the screw enters when I was trying to move it to a new cage..... I would hate to think of how bad it would have scared my boys if it had snapped while one of them was sitting on it.....

Hamsters will not grind their teeth on this

This product is NOT actual pumice and is NOT safe for chinchillas to eat. It is not a lava ledge. It is a mineral block made to look like a lava ledge and should not be consumed by chinchillas DO NOT PURCHASE THIS.
