I was very sceptical of ordering tea online for many reasons, but being remiss to find any good shop retailers thus far, a fellow Matcha tea lover convinced me and I ordered Vireo's Matcha Powder from Uji.I was very pleasantly surprised. The colour was bright, not browning or degraded, which to me means it was picked fresh and the freshness was maintained through out processing, packaging and shipping. The aroma was light, not heavy or repugnant in any way. There was of course the expected umami and slightly vegetal notes that one should taste in a good matcha or any green 'food'. I personally enjoy these flavours and having had to choose from a variety of matcha's I've had to present at tea tasting events in the past, this represents a good product by most connoisseurs.Though it is recommended to be used in baking and food preparation, I would not say this is a culinary matcha, I would say it is a cup above and can easily be enjoyed in the traditional sense, as a thick or Koicha preparation, or the thinner, Usucha way. I enjoy a smooth, even froth and had no problems creating this for myself and my friend.That said, upon further investigation, this company offers so many wonderful recipes and helpful suggestions. They also care about packaging and the environment and display a genuine wish to ensure their customers get the best possible flavour and quality from their products. I enjoyed the gift of the bamboo spoon and helpful preparation hints as well. A lot of people bring about the worst flavour from great products, most especially green tea which with poor preparation, or overly hot water, ultimately burns their tea. I suspect that's why until recently people found green tea bitter or astringent and not to their liking, when it is so easily within our own control.The price is definitely on point and I will be ordering again and trying more of their products.

The flavour was great and it is great value for money but the one downside is that the matcha is very gritty all things aside I will purchase again.

I'm new to the whole green Matcha tea thing, deciding to drink less 'normal' tea and coffee.I got a sample of this tea in a set I bought on Amazon and it was lovely, it takes a few bowls to get used to the taste, but it honestly tastes like regular tea but in a different kind of way!.I bought Koyu Ceremonial tea as a follow on and it was watery and tasteless - I couldn't finish the first bowl - what a waste!I searched for this product and was so glad to find it, and for so much cheaper than the other teas.If you are like me and bewildered by all the teas and reviews - trust me, this one is no less because of its price. Buy this and try it.

This makes a very average tasting tea and seems to struggle to foam up properly (my technique isn't great but other matcha foams much better for me). Even the smell of the matcha is a little stale/dull. It actually works great for matcha desserts though

Great matcha, fantastic value for money - vibrant green colour and it has a nice bitter-sweet flavour. The spoon is a perfect length for getting the last little bits at the bottom of the bag. Blends very well and has a lovely silky finish to it.

I received the wrong item on the day it was a 50g bag instead of a 100g bag however customer service did help come to a compromise of giving me a partial discount. Still a lovely tea.

Great flavour and quality. I love it and highly recomend it. I have tried many different brands and so far this is the best one. I found it even better than the ones which are two times more expensive.

Nachdem die Produktion meines Lieblingsmatcha bedauerlicherweise eingestellt wurde, war ich lange auf der Suche nach einem ähnlichen japanischen Matcha. Mich konnte seitdem keiner so richtig überzeugen, bis ich diesen Matcha bestellt habe.Vorab muss ich sagen, dass ich meinen Matcha immer als Latte mit Mandelmilch trinke und nie als reinen Tee mit Wasser.Er besticht durch einen leicht heuigen Geruch und eine sattgrüne Farbe, hat dabei jedoch keinen fischigen Geruch oder Geschmack, wie dies manchmal der Fall ist.Im Geschmack ist er angenehm mild und lässt sich bei der Zubereitung mit Chasen (Matchabesen) vollständig auflösen, ohne dass Klümpchen zurückbleiben.Eine nette Beigabe ist auch der Bambuslöffel zu jeder Packung.Kundenfreundlich finde ich zudem die 30-Tage Geld-zurück-Garantie, die ich zum Glück nicht in Anspruch nehmen musste.Ich habe mittlerweile die zweite Packung angebrochen und bleibe dabei.Der Preis von ca. 14€ für 100g ist mehr als gerechtfertigt. Klare Kaufempfehlung!

Premetto che è la prima volta che acquisto questo pregiato tè, quindi non sono di certo un'esperta, ma prima di decidere quale acquistare ho fatto diverse ricerche su internet e in base a ciò che ho letto posso dire che questo tè ha tutte le caratteristiche per essere definito un ottimo tè matcha. L'odore è molto piacevole, forte e deciso (non ricorda affatto l'alga come ho letto). Il colore è di un bel verde acceso e il gusto non è per niente amaro, anzi, per una come me che mette zucchero in abbondanza ovunque è stato molto piacevole berlo, senza alcuna necessità di doverlo zuccherare. Insomma, senza dubbio acquisterò nuovamente questo prodotto. Ah, in omaggio con la confezione troverete l'utilissimo cucchiaio di bambù. Ottimo direi!

Soy habitual consumidora de té verde. El cual suelo comprar en sitios especializados a granel, con diferentes sabores.Nunca había comprado para consumir en casa el té matcha y, me he decidido a adquirirlo debido a sus muchas propiedades, sobretodo los antioxidantes, los cuales están presentes en mayor cantidad respecto a otros tipos de té.Este producto es un té puro de buena calidad, con toque amargo, que es todo una delicia.Además,trae una cuchara de bambú que permite removerlo, del mismo modo que se hace en la ceremonia del té de Japón.Mi más sincera recomendación

Bueno, un Matcha muy aceptable, teniendo en cuenta los Matcha tan malos que venden por ahí. Para mí un grado medio muy aceptable, lo recomiendo teniendo en cuenta su precio.
