This is a complete waste of money, don't get them. First, they suction cup, well, doesn't suck. Or maybe it does suck. Depends on your point of view. Basically, it won't stay on the lens. I put them on the lenses of my two GP8s when I got these caps, and the next morning they were sitting on the shelf in front of the cameras. So they don't suck. Or do suck. Whichever.About the only way to get them to stick to the lenses is to lick the suction cup (I won't do that). But that presents an entirely new set of issues, mainly a dried saliva ring when you take the covers off. And then you have to clean the lens before use.

These will protect the front lense as long as the suction holds. In the middle is a small suction cup that connects to the very center of your lense. I bought glass lense protectors so the suction cup is not attaching directly to my lense glass. In time my suction will give out and the protector will fall off. Also it catches easily in pockets and such. But for a hero 8 not having a replacement lense, one must protect this lense and this protector helps us do that!

These little silicone suction cup gopro lens covers work great and are a fantastic value at under $10 for two. There is a small but might suction cup on the inner part of the cover that sticks to your gopro's lens and that holds the cover in place. Whats great about this design is that you can use it with a variety of body covers, lens filters or other accessories attached to your gopro as it doesn't need to fit precisely to be effective. I have no complaints with this product.

I used these so much that I ended up losing 1 of the 2. This is before I had cases for my gopro and I would have to toss it into my backpack or center console of the car. Great investment still, even if you get a case. Soft cases provide little protection. Combo up with these and you are set to go. Be mindful, Greater distance means a Greater impact.

These work with a little suction cup that sticks to the front GLASS. If you have a speck of dirt on the cover in the suction cup it will scratch your lens! Furthermore it does not fit tight enough around the edges to keep dust out. Very poor design, I will be returning!

Works well but you'll need a lens cloth to remove the suction cup marks. The suction cup is needed due to the design of the lens area on the camera, I tried other types but this one works the best, having to wipe my lens is the tiniest of trade-offs.

The suction cup doesn't hold for more than a few minutes. If you're storing your camera upright, the lenscap will just pop itself off. If you lay your camera on its back, the lenscap does it's job, but so would some cardboard. Not recommended.

The suction used to keep the cover in place is weak. Might be better if moistened, but that would tend to leave marks on the lens. Really no other way to add a protective cover without using a strap of some kind around the GoPro.
