My wife and I wondered what made coloring her hair so expensive. And the answer is, there is no reason we found that justified it. I'm a tradesman with many skills that involve building and installing product, systems, and homes. So I offered to color my wife's hair using this product. After all, the cost was extremely low when compared to one visit to the salon. We got more than one treatment (can't remember exact) from a single purchase. At any rate, using rubber gloves and a bowl with hand tool designed for this application, I was and continue to be successful with coloring my wife's hair within 20 minutes. She lets it work itself in for about 1 to 1.5 hours before taking a shower. This product is reliable, easy to prepare, and apply. But most importantly, anyone can color hair within 20 minutes saving hundreds of $$$$ while saving you the hassle of driving to the salon, waiting, getting the job done, paying $$$ for the service, and driving home. And, my wife thinks I'm the greatest husband around so the hero worship is not bad either lol.

I wanted a deep brown color not black . I purchased the 5.0 light brown with 20% developer mixed it 1:1 I left the color on for 30mins, I have a few pieces of silver gray that colored well, its definitely more deep brown not even close to light brown. I colored mostly the crown . It gave me nice deep color and pulled some low lights . I like the color a lot and the feel of my hair to follow was still soft although I sprayed coconut spray on the roots to follow. Its definitely not worth paying $80 in a salon when you could get this color at home. If anyone has feedback on the color 6.0 or a guess on the color 5.0 with 6.0 I would appreciate the feedback. Worked well to cover my grey. I'm Asian and have dark brown (almost black) hair and the medium brown color matched my natural hair color.

Please don't make the same mistake I did thinking thsi would be a Medium Brown, I've got Olive skin and wanted to lighten my Dark Brown hair. Though the best permanent hair color I've found, this turned out to be very Dark Brown almost Black. I later learned, $3000 later that the higher the hair color number the lighter the color. It's one of the few permanent hair colors you can buy online that truly covers the gray and won't damage your hair. I also love their Bonacure hair care line.

THIS IS ABSURD! I bought this from THE “Schwarzkopf store” and it’s absolutely fraudulent! I’ve bought from other vendors the past 5 years and they all worked great but the one time I decided to buy from the supposedly actual store /manufacturer it doesn’t even work! I even waited an hour with dye on my hair! Didn’t even turn slightly brown! What a waste of money
