Light works well, coukd have a larger outside ring for ceiling hole coverage

I was hesitant due to price but thought to give it a try and see. Old house equals old wiring so I thought I would have some complications but other than fitting the switch wiring and the light wiring into the housing provided it was very simple. The light is very bright so we will be adding a dimmer but install was maybe 30 min and the diagram for the hole was spot on!

Love the size and flush mount on the ceiling

The halogen bulb and fixture in an old floor lamp broke. I didn't want to just throw it out so I found a YouTube video showing how to replace the halogen fixture with this. Very easy; if you can replace a wall switch you can do this. It just lies in the bowl of the lamp and shines up, no need to mount it.. It's safer in that it generates no heat, but it throws out plenty of light and it should last a really long time. It works with the lamp's dimmer switch just fine.

I purchased 6 of these as retrofit task lighting. Easy install. Very bright. The spring clips are easy to come off (and put back on). These come with flange seals (unlike the other brand I purchased). I like that they are independent lights (the other brand ganged 4 ). Also, tip. Install the box just above the light. It makes it so that you can pull the light down and service the box and connections through the hole. So you do not have to crawl through the attic again for service.
