nice knife
Well designed and well built. Good action, good handle traction, great tool. This is not a fidget toy. The omega springs are quite strong - great at keeping the blade in while not in use, but deployment has to be more intentional. Deployment using the thumb-studs can be problematic - due to the extra force needed your thumb might end up on the cutting edge of the blade. The pocket clip is strong/tight but has a bit of side-to-side play.(Overall, 4.5 stars, rounding up to 5 for my use.)

Carry with confidence
I was looking for a small, robust knife and saw this SOG on sale. The unique red G10 handles caught my eye, and the XR lock sold me. The action was smoother and stronger than I anticipated. I love the clip point blade with the Cyro D2 steel, which I feel performs better than the regular D2 I have on other knives Though light, this knife feels sturdy and the ergonomics mean my extra large hands have good purchase on the handle. Very recommendable.

Locking mechanism spring pretty strong, on top of which the texture on the button is pretty sharp.
Good — Blade comes razor sharp (literally shaves hair from arm). And assuming typical D2 hardness, should stay that for awhile (may have to edit this in future).Meh — TheG10 scaling is o’kay, and actual texture feels fairly good in-hand. Though could be a fraction thicker in body; at least 1mm, if not 2mm overall, without it getting too thick for unobtrusive pocket carry. Just a little more body within hand would make it perfect.Bad — the resistance spring to the bar-lock is pretty strong. Strong, though not quite too strong for my nearly 60yo hands. But It’d be way too strong for my over-80yo father. As it is I need to set my hand a certain way to push the bar, then reset the hand for a comfortable carry. Though, depending on your hand strength and size, YMMV.On top of which the serration on the bar are fairly sharp to my, admittedly, non-callused thumb. Maybe if the spring weren’t as strong, the serrations might be o’kay. Or vice-versa. But the two combined make it very uncomfortable to deploy the blade. As is, this is NOT a figgit friendly knife. The pocket clip is pretty thin/narrow. I’m used to my smaller Spyderco knife clips having more width. That , and the good grip G10 handle material has, might be why the knife is pretty hard to deploy/pull clipped from pants pocket. The lack of surface area along with a strong spring makes for a very very tight grip. It really yanks up on the jeans pocket. I think I’m scared to clip it to nicer slacks, which don’t have the rivet reinforced corners to the pockets and are made with more delicate fabric than denim. At least in my hands this is not an easily deployable knife. In fact to make it easier, I reach over with my non-dominant hand to hold down pocket to keep it from riding up when I pull up with my dominant hand. Else I’ve sort of have to yank it back and worth, and up a couple/three times to work the clip off the denim ridge of pocket. My Spyderco and CRKT knives (of which I have 4-5 of each), while usually securely held, smoothly pull out of my pockets one handed (though I admit one or two of them are a little too easy to pull out). But $42 (Black Friday sale) for a D2 bladed G10 scaled SOG knife? Couldn’t pass it up. And the drawbacks aren’t enough, at that price point, I won’t be sending it back.

great knife
I purchased this knife to replace my every day carry price was good I had never owned a dog before but it functions like my expensive benchmade so figured I would give it a try and I love it. highly recommend if you're looking for quality knife on low budget.

Best EDC Knife I Own
The media could not be loaded. I’ve had this for a couple weeks. I’ve practiced my knife throwing with a couple trees, made a few cuts, and even chucked the knife in the local river. It came out unscathed! This is the best EDC Knife I own, bar none.

Solid everyday carry pocket folder
This is the second SOG Terminus for me. Solidly built, rugged with a solid lock. Not fancy, modest price, long lasting and a good performer.Only complaint is the edges on the handle are sharp so I used a small file to round them off. Very comfortable after that.

Small
Small handle and a bit uncomfortable in my hand. It has a crimson handle though, that's different. Otherwise SOG has become overpriced for what you get. I'll toss it in the back of something and lose it for sure and make sure that my Benchmade or even one of the Cold Steel knives are grabbed first. At least it could be made in the USA for the price but it's not. This is my 2nd most disliked folder I've purchased recently, the Buck folder was sad but at least it was made in the USA.

One of the Best Ambidextrous Knife out there.
The media could not be loaded. Terminus is a Solid knife. G10 scales on the handle, good Jipping on the blade for grip and handling. It feels good in hand, good button lock function, and it is a Sharp, drop point blade. Some people might think it’s to small or not sold on D2 steel, but this is a Solid work-horse of a knife, good EDC knife and defensive tool.
