This collection of photographs illustrating the appeal of “Country Cottages” is beautifully done. The photographs capture the essence of what this life style means. The things that capture our attention and make our hearts beat faster are those things that bring special meaning to how we establish our personal environment. The book also gives us ideas how we might choose to add or delete things from our homes.

Book was everything I was expecting. Photography is beautiful! I’ll be returning to the book again and again - one can get so much inspiration fro Designers like this and though I’m on a modest budget I can still get plenty of ideas to use in my own cottage style home.

I liked it, some houses are not for me but the pictures and descriptions are nice.

great creative properties in this book, cottage is a relative term as some of the designs are very classic with a modern twist!

There was not a preview available for this book...every time I order a decorating book without being ableto peruse it, I am sorry. About half of the homes featured in this book are not what I would call cottagetype homes...they are decorated in more of a contemporary fashion. I base my decorating book choiceson getting ideas for my own home, and although the pictures are well done, I think the premise of thebook is misleading. It leaned too much toward the modern side for my taste.Debbie Hyde

I'm just not going to spend money on a book when I can't see a few photos. In a book store - you get to flip through it and see if it's worth it. It seems so many publishers are starting to show fewer photos.

The book was in great shape… and less than half the price of a new one.

Have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of this book. We have been considering a more casual country style for some time. This book reflects both a mix of country and city, that would convince anyone sitting on the bench, to make the change. The photos are beautiful, and detailed. Well worth the price.

I have purchased many of her books and this one was such a disappointment, I would have returned it if I wasn't in the middle of a reno. I felt it was mostly out dated and many photo's I've seen before in their publications. Don't waste your money.It would be nice if this publisher would add a few photo's and content page to see if it is up to caliber for what you are looking for.
