William Yeoward's American Bar: The world's most glamorous cocktails

I gave this 5 stars because it is a wonderful cocktail book, featuring dozens of cocktails from... ENGLISH BARS. There in lies the deception... because there is another exactly identical edition of this book which I also purchased. Because the title of this book referred to "Amercan Bar," I assumed it covered different bars and cocktails. Not so. So I made it a gift to a good imbibing friend of mine. But this is NOT about any American Bars. They are all wonderful classic hotel bars in London and environs... just don't buy BOTH versions.

A beautiful escape into a very glamourous world. Although the book is called American Bar all the bars are in London. The title comes from the American Bar at the Savoy Hotel. I don't think any of these drinks in this gorgeous book could be made by an amateur even though the recipes are given but next time I'm in London you'll find me at Annabel's indulging!

If you like cocktails that are somewhat unusual, exotic, delicious and beautiful, this is the book for you. There are some special ingredients called for in several of the drinks and that may prove a challenge, but not an impossibility. Enjoy!
