Not Bad offers a lot for the price
I was a bit iffy about buying this phone, but for the price and what it offered you could not find a better deal out in the market. After receiving the phone and seen what it offered I was amazed. I mean its not every day anyone would buy a RCA product when there a lot better brands out there. I couldn't help noticing on the phone has the label, ViSYS who maked the phone for RCA. Every 4 line phone out in the market was well over $200. This phone is great for a home business that has no more then 4 lines. I love the looks and color of the display and what it offers. The sound is amazing, and the best part is running as many as 16 wireless handsets or headsets to the phone. The quality in hardware is very good so you can tell the phone and the buttons on the phone are very strong and sturdy and meant to last.

Decent phone
Phone: 4 stars RCA Customer Service: 0 stars Pros: - The look and feel of the phone is great, it looks sharp and has a ton of features. The button layout, spacing, etc seems very nice, no wrong keys pressed by accident. I bought it specifically for office intercom, digital answering system, viewable caller id, and the ability to add a wireless handset, and add other phones at any time (up to 16 total) - exactly what I needed. Not to mention the affordable cost. - Bought these from Amazon (I got the wireless handset, and another speakerphone with intercom sans answering system.). I dread to think of the nightmare I'd of had to return them with RCA. Cons: - The intercom system didn't work. It should have been super simple, but for some reason it wasn't. I looked online for solutions, found none (RCA doesn't have user forums that I could find). I called customer service, and after an hour, all they told me was to unplug the phone, let it sit for 15 minutes, and try again, which didn't work (obviously). I'm guessing there is something amiss with my setup (phone line, dsl, fax, etc), but they didn't even ask a single thing about my personal office setup. RCA custom service equals a big zero. Horrible. - The phone reception was very full of static. I've tried 3 other phone systems on the same lines, and no static was encountered. I have to blame the phone on this one. Had the phone actually worked for my office I'd have given it a 4 star rating (dropping it a star due to the annoying static).

expensive paper weight
lots of bells and whistles, but thats it... you can use the phones to talk and thats it. all the bells and whistles did not work. I contacted RCA and they would not do anything. Nothing more than a paper weight that rings.

I like these phones
We have used this series of RCA phones in our office for several years with no complaints. I purchased another to add to our network, and it turned out to be defective. I had to return it. However, I like these phones, so I ordered a replacement. I gave it three stars because I like the phones, but had to return this defective one. Hopefully it was just a fluke, and the replacement will be fine. PS. As it turned out, I originally ordered the wrong model with the answering machine built in, which I didn't need. When I ordered the replacement I discovered that there was another model without the answering machine at a lower price. Perhaps it was karma that the first one was defective, so I could get a better deal on the one I really needed. Update: I received the replacement phone model 25424RE1 and it is just what I needed. Easy to install. Works great. Very prompt shipping. I am extremely pleased with this product and the vendor.

phone used in small business setup
Phone worked well, looks good and setup was easy enough but not pleased with how quickly batteries discharge or smallness of dial & buttons.

RCA 25425RE1 Telephone
I have used these phones a couple of times now on different installations. They are a decent alternative to a KSU/PBX style system. The main thing to be aware of is that if Voicemail is required you may need multiple phones to cover all the required mailboxes. A great looking and feeling phone. I rate this phone a 4 out of 5 stars. Requires 4 AAA batteries that are not supplied. Professional installer of Ace Integrity Systems, Inc. Brevard County, Florida

Warranty is good/Keep a backup
This is a decent set for small businesses. We have five people who use phones at our company and this setup works fine. We like being able to ring to other people and talk to them over the speaker. I don't know if it is a phone issue or phone service provider issue but if you are talking to someone on line 1 and you get a phone call on line 2, the ring for line 2 blocks out your conversation on line 1 so if someone is telling you something important, you can't even hear them talking while line 2 is ringing. Everything else seems to work fine on these phones. We have used these phones for four years and have returned/exchanged at least five of them to the manufacturer because they will stop working instantly and without warning. The last one I had went to a blank screen on the display and no buttons would respond at all. That's my real issue with these phones. You always have to keep a spare on hand for when they quit. The warranty is great though, and the customer service people never give us any grief over returning the phones. That is why I gave these 3 stars. If the warranty service wasn't so good, I'd probably rate them 2 stars on the phone alone.

RCA is a great buy - we like the phones.
I would recommend this product - I did lot of research and was told this phone is the best one out there for the price. I purchased three phones but It's important to know if you want one telephone line (in my case) for all three phones or you want three lines so that each phone can have an individiaul phone number. A great buy nd esy to use and to learn.
