After you read each promise, Mike goes into detailed analysis of that verse explaining why it is relevant for today. He then closes with a prayer of agreement, agreeing with you that the promise will manifest itself in the life of your family. I particularly like how he has provided blanks in the wording of the prayer where you can write in the name of your loved one. If your children are young, this book will help you provide a stable and solid foundation to start bringing your children up in the strength and admiration of the Lord. As you pray, claim the promises for your own, speaking them out loud, until you are fully persuaded that it is the will of God for your entire family to know and serve the Lord. In closing, stand up and fight for your family, reclaim that which the enemy has stolen, and encourage yourself in the Lord.

Sometimes as parents we just need direction on what to pray… on what promises we can firmly stand on. This book is for you if that’s what you need. It’s greatest reminder is to not be afraid of what this world could influence your child(Ren) to do, but stand on God’s word and how promises to your children and their children, etc. Have hope and speak these promises often and with conviction! Your child /children will be all that God says they are!

Not sure about the "fire & brimstone" reviews from others - "skimmed" through the book - not using it currently - purchased it to use as a planner guide for a children's Sunday school program - been so busy with other outreach ministry programs that haven't had the opportunity to use this book for it's intended use ... so ... as mentioned - skimmed the book & it seems to be heavily based on traditional scripture - which can appear to be heavy - the trick as with any book being read to a child is for the parent to be comfortable explaining the text read to the child - which naturally can be a challenge .. so ... uhm ... ya ... good book - can be a challenge - but - based on scripture - 4 stars ...

The current culture, our enemy, our own sinful nature and the world are all battling against us as parents and our children. We need to fight back with effective warfare and God’s Word is the sharpest and most essential weapon in our arsenal!I knew that God's Word is full of promises for me as His child but I had NO IDEA that He also has 65 promises specifically for my children! This book and the way Mr. Shreve has laid it out is so helpful and gives me so much hope as I pray and claim these promises over my five kiddos! As a believer of Jesus the Christ; and a parent we are given instruction from Proverbs 22:6 (KJV)6 Train up a child in the way (of the Lord) he or she should go: and when he or she is old, they will not depart from it; my emphases.And to have the 65 promises from God, it is one of the best parenting tools you can have to accomplish the charge of Proverbs 22:6. What I like about it is you can claim each promise and personalize for your child.There is nothing better (that I know of) than claiming/praying God’s word into your child’s life.What Mike Shreve has done is pulled the promises of God’s word out of the Bible and condensed them into his book. A small price to pay for an awesome spiritual investment into your child’s life!

A Very Excellent book! This book should be in every parents /grandparents library. A powerful book containing powerful prayers for our children. It's filled with all the Promises, the very Word of God that the Father has given to us for our children. There's is nothing like praying the Will of God! Amen! Helps with filling my granddaughters hearts with God's word.

I began reading this book at a friend's home, and knew that I wanted one for my family too. My 2 girls are grown and I have one little granddaughter, but I will pray these prayers over each one of them, including my son-in-laws. I just receive it, but I believe that my family will be richly blessed by it! Mike Shreve is an excellent author and has sought and received Godly Wisdom from the Lord in writing this book. This wonderful book will empower you to not only pray for your children , but teach you how to speak the Word of God over your children to bring forth the miraculous in their lives. God Bless!!

This book is great to pray scriptures over your children as they sleep or over them if they are old enough to understand. With each scripture, there is a mini statement about the promises of God for your child and how to claim them for your little ones. A must have in your collection of parenting wisdom.

Good information but the format/ font is too small

A very helpful little book with 65 prayers/promises to declare for your children. Would recommend this for anyone who wants to see their children come into the " more of God"

Every parent should get this book. Just beautiful praying the word of God over your child. His Word does not come back void.

Easy to read, and breathes life into bible verses you might other wise skip over.I really enjoy reading it with the kids before bed time as a spirit filled alternative to goldilocks and the three bears!
