The definitive source on Irish furniture
This book should take its place among preeminent reference works on a class of furniture. From thorough and careful research on the history of Irish furniture to the comprehensive catalog of actual pieces it proves to be an invaluable resource for a novice collector or a consummate professional.

The Definitive Reference Book
This is a long overdue both reference guide and history of Irish Furniture. The research is superb and is an absolute "must have" for dealers/collectors of Irish Furniture. It goes well beyond the F. Lewis Hinckley 1953 version of "A Directory of Antique Furniture" - where Ireland was first really recognized as a country that produced such craftsmanship. Hinckley has been the bible to date of Irish furniture reference. Irish Furniture not only displays styles (as per Hinckley generally) but also delves deep into provenance and the craftsmen who built such works of art - both in Dublin and provincial. This is the new bible of Irish furniture and well deserves its place in any reference library sitting next to Hinckley.Alan Daly
