I installed one of these on my inner door to block the hallway light quite some time ago and it's remained in place with just the adhesive and no tacs. It does a solid job of preventing air and light penetration from under the couple of doors I've applied them. It's been over a year and the adhesive is unmarred.

While this is a really easy product to install it removes part of your door color/ overlay off when you remove it. Otherwise it has worked great. There was a 1 inch gap between door and floor after carpet removal leaving plenty of space for loud sound to travel into other rooms that also had gaps. I installed the strips to each door and the sound became low and muffled as well as blocking out light from hall or other bedrooms at night. It has been on over a month and working great and very well adhered. Unfortunately the one room that has to have her tv on sound level 95 all day and half the night, I did not get the strip on straight or with complete coverage so today I decided to remove it and add a fresh strip… that’s when I discovered that the grip adhesive really does it’s job and brings part of the color/panel with it. So do it right the first time and you should be set. Lower stars simply because once applied it is not meant to be removed or causes damage when you do remove. ( used on standard light brown hollow house doors)

This was a cheap and very easy product to buy and install. My home is probably ten degrees warmer inside without changing the thermostat. They're so invisible on my door, I keep forgetting that I've already put them up, so they look great. I see these lasting at least several years, as the quality seems good.

Works as it should! Great product. Keeping bugs out and the door secured. Very easy to use and install. I don't hear any air coming through the door. It was very sticky, and I see no reason it should come off at this time. The appearance is nice and black. I like it and would use it again!
