RCBS Quick Change Powder Funnel Kit, Universal Powder Funnel Kit with Quick-Change Nozzles for Reloading

Also for some extra help to save money on dies for your turret press. I have a Lee turret press and found a video online from youtube.com and typed in "RCBS quick change powder funnel kit". The video is 1 minute and 20 seconds long. Except he does not tell you how to make the universal adapter for your press but I figured it out already. Praise GOD!!! The external threads of your metal dies for your press is .87 thousandths to fit so I stopped by Ace hardware store and found a pvc coupler that was .82" thousandths. From there had to put that pvc coupler on my bench lathe and drill it out with a .71" thousandths drill bit for the long green plastic tube to fit and the long green plastic tube is .69" thousandths which gives you .002" thousandths play room. Once I drilled it out the walls were pretty thin and still screwed in great. To help beef up the external threads for a more snug fit and help to strengthen the outer wall I just put some disposable gloves on and put on some white flex seal with the nozzle tip and smoothed it out with my finger all around the threads of pvc coupler and this will help protect the thin wall once drilled out on the lathe with some soft jaws on chuck since your gripping plastic. Just make sure it's snug but not to tight on that pvc coupler. We don't want to fracture it. For better protection of your pvc coupler on the shaft of threads near the base you can apply a thin coat all the way around with clear epoxy and hit it with a heat gun for about 5 to 10 min. Once ready to use. Screw in the pvc coupler into your turret press. Install the long green tube through the hole of pvc coupler along with the adapter on the tip and funnel at the top and from there you can pour in your gunpowder universally for any type of round from .17 cal to .50 cal and drop in a bullet to through the tube and drops in dead center. Then when the press indexes your ready to seat the bullet and crimp the case. Check out the video on youtube.com and you'll see what I'm talking about. Saves you money too cause you will not need any gunpowder dies cause this solves the case with this approach. From there you'll only need 3 dies instead of 4 cause the pvc adapter with funnel kit is universal. The only 3 dies you'll need is de-primer, bullet seater and crimp die. Which helps save some bank. On the lee press you can invest in 2 different primer arms inside the guide rod and when you bring the rod back down it seats in your new primer and your ready to charge with the pvc coupler along with dropping in bullet through tube with a nice centering of bullet. Lastly you'll need to get a die that's universal for flaring which they have on amazon so your bullet drops in more nicely before you seat the bullet and crimp the case mouth. Got it as only had the Lee precision funnel which works great for handgun ammo, but as soon as I started reloading rifle ammo I was losing powder around the neck of the cases throwing my powder weights off. Used the 30 cal (300 wsm) and 40 (45-70 gov, for a Springfield Trapdoor) cal adapter last night. The 40 cal powder flowed right through no problem. The 30 cal maybe .1 of a grain of the powder got stuck in the neck of the funnel. Maybe it’s the powder that was used. Maybe it’s the anti static properties need to be broken in. Either way it still beats pouring powder all over the work table when the funnel is removed. I’d still buy again if I ever needed to.

Very nice and versatile set that fits a number of different caliber casings. I primarily use it for loading ammunition. When loading flake or small powder there was initially static electricity and powder would stick to the sides of the large funnel. You need to clean the funnel assembly well in order to remove the static which obviously is not safe when working with gun powder. Other than that, the attachments fit well, are accurate, is clear/sheer to see through, and the thickness of the pieces are very durable. I recommend this quick change funnel set for use in reloading ammunition or with and other such materials.
