What a Very Delightful, Colorful Sociology "Un-Textbook."
Had to use this Textbook for a Sociology 101 Class. This has to be one of the most unique textbooks I have ever read, and one of my most enjoyable too! The text was easy to comprehend, Dalton Conley is very articulate as an author, and I especially enjoyed his commentary on capitalism and gender. I also enjoyed how colorful the textbook is; there are many pictures, and helpful hints that make sure you have grasped the sociological concept that Conley is trying to bring across, with helpful "quiz-like" questions at the end of each chapter to make sure that you are on track to progress! There are also online resources for this book, which our teacher took advantage of immensely. i recommend that you do the same, as they helped reinforce my knowledge of prominent people in the study of sociology, and also to help me ace my exams in class. This is seriously the best "Un-Textbook" that I have ever read.

i nice way to put material that is otherwise pretty boring
I like how this book is put together. the little drawings with the 3d glasses are an interesting way to explain sociology. There is a companion website my instructor gave us that goes along nicely with this. we havent scratched the card and likely wont so i cant say much on that.here is the website if you wanna use it: wwnorton .com /college/soc/conley3/full/ch/01/outline .aspx

I received it fast and it was in great condition.
This is a very engaging book, however there is a helpful online resource that you must have a code to access; which was not included with my new book purchase. Otherwise would've been 5 star. I received it fast and it was in great condition.....just wish I would've known about the code.

Easy to understand
Personally I am not a big fan of Sociology but for my Soc 100 I had to read it. The book made it easier to understand to topic surrounding the study of society and helped me pass the class

There are a few tears in some of the pages. They look small and accidental.
