Have to say I spent hours yesterday looking at reviews for a hard shell cover for my brand new 16" 2019 MacBook Pro. I finally settled on this one and I'm SO pleased with it!Its completely clear so doesn't even look like there's a cover on the laptop it just makes it very shiny! It was a piece of cake to install, just one corner on the screen took a little effort to click over. It feels very sturdy and the keyboard cover is responsive and tbh you don't even notice its there. I brought this cover simply to save scratches at home, if I were going out and about with the Mac I'd get a case to put it in but I'm certain this will do the job I need it for and at this price you can't go wrong!

I bought this product because I had forgotten to buy a case and needed to cover my new MacBook Pro as soon as it arrived (very nice but looked so delicate!). This product was the fastest available on amazon, so I ordered it. Indeed it arrived very soon and was very easy to put on my laptop. It is transparent and simple and very useful indeed. The only shortcoming is that there is no cover for the keyboard area, so eventually will buy one for that too.

Like all of these type of cases, its basically two pieces of plastic. Does a good job of protecting the Mac but you must be really careful not to get even a grain of sand in between plastic and mac as it’s likely to cause more damage (think like sandpaper) than having no case at all. The silicon keyboard cover didn’t fit my Uk layout keyboard.

It's a nice cover and it fits perfectly and, as far as I can tell, is well made. I do have one slight criticism, which is that it is very smooth, which makes it slippery. I don't mind too much as I mainly use the laptop at home, but if you are out and about it might become a problem.

First impressions were very favourable. With an Apple logo sticker stuck in the middle of the top cover, it made my Macbook look ten times better. However after about two weeks, I began noticing cracks on one top corner and then the other corner on the same side where the Macbook hinges are. I did not mishandle my £3k Macbook at any time so this rang alarm bells. Then more and more scratches appeared on the top cover. Finally one of the cracked corners snapped off. I think there may be a design flaw since these affected corners are under pressure when opening and closing the laptop and clearly they impact on the material which is too weak to withstand such pressures.Given the amount of damage sustained after a few weeks, I do not recommend these covers at all and this from someone who rarely gives one star reviews.

This case is quite thick and so it should protect the mac against scratches. However the material it’s made of came with many scratches which can be annoying in some lighting settings.

This was the cheapest available shell for the 2019 updated MacBook Pro 16”. I bought it as a temporary measure but it turned out to be just what I needed. It fits perfectly and the finish is good. The silicone feet lift it clear of a hard surface to aid ventilation.
