Great product for the price. Nothing fancy; however, for me, they are the right size and serve their purpose of being used for everyday toweling. I was concerned about other reviews discussing excessive lint. While there was a lot of lint on the first wash/dry, I did not have excessive lint balls attach to me when I used them. They were soft and absorbent. I also read that the edges would ravel. I looked closely at each towel when folding. No strings or ravels were found. For a large person, you might want to consider the next towel size up. For the average person, they are adequate and do not take up large amounts of closet space like the over-sized bath towels.For general, everyday use, they are what I needed.

Since the towel is 100% cotton I expected it to shrink, but no review had said to what length and width.Is the towel very absorbent? Yes, it is very absorbent. Keep in mind that each towel is lightweight at 300 grams so you can't expect this bath towel to be as thick and plush as a heavy 800 or 900 gram bath towel. But it is absorbent, unlike many towels that I've bought before. The manufacturer honestly states in the Product Features that the bath towel is 300 grams so I knew it would be lightweight but I didn't know if it would really be absorbent (a quality issue). It is!Does the towel remain soft after each wash and dry? So far, yes (remember, I've been using these towels for 1 month. I'll update this review in the future if my opinion should change).I use this towel for showering after working out at the gym. For me, it is the perfect size and thickness. I already carry a lot of stuff to the gym (change of clothes, toiletry bag, water bottle, headphones, iPad to read on treadmill, lock, hand towel to wipe off sweat while I workout, etc.) so I didn't want a big, thick, expensive towel to dry off with after showering. I had an expensive towel taken from the shower room once but I don't worry about someone taking this towel - and I've still got 11 more even if someone does!If you are looking for a thicker, heavier, very absorbent, 100% cotton, white bath towel that is a little bigger (30 x 52 inches) I recommend the  Martex Hospitality Bath Towels - 6-Pack (White)  that Amazon sells. As of this writing they are $45.55 for six towels. I bought the  Martex Hospitality Hand Towels - 12-Pack (White)  on Amazon over a year ago now (for $28.99, now they're $29.97) and they are thick, extra absorbent, and have held up extremely well after many washes! I use one of these hand towels when working out (I also use it as padding for the tops of my feet when doing sit-ups. Hence the need for the extra thickness). I'm assuming that the Martex bath towels would be the same quality as the Martex hand towels I have and the positive Amazon reviews seem to bear this out.In summary, these bath towels are exactly as the Product Features say they are. Use this towel for any job where you want an inexpensive, absorbent, lightweight, smaller-than-regular-size bath towel.I hope this review helped answer some of your questions, as it would have for me when I was considering this purchase.Update on 4/7/15 (2 years and 7 months after my initial review)Today jc14, a commenter of my review, asked, "I'd love to know how well these towels have held up over time. I've also added a photo of my WORST towel (of the 12) that is just starting to fray now!Here's my reply to jc14:"Hi jc14. These towels have held up incredibly well over time. In fact, I'm still using the same batch of 12 that I bought back in September, 2012, and I use at least one of them everyday to work out (I'm a pretty serious athlete - sometimes I do 2 workouts per day)! I am hard on towels. I'm a strong guy and when I dry my back I pull pretty hard on towels. I have ripped 3 luxurious bath towels at home since buying these because the stitching frayed! I haven't ripped one of these yet (I do use all 12 though - none of them is still new). To be honest, a couple of the towels have started to fray so I expect I'll rip those pretty soon. But still, I bought these towels 2 1/2 years ago and I use them everyday! So, I'd definitely say they are durable and I got my money's worth from them a long time ago. Yes, I will buy another batch again when I've ripped them all!You said, "Are these the type of towels that get better after multiple washings?" If you mean "do they stop shedding lint in the dryer and absorb water better?" then the answer is yes. If you mean "do they get more luxuriously soft?" then the answer is no. I hope that helps."

The picture does not show the true thickness, for the price I did not expect luxurious towels but I did expect them to be thicker and less rough than bulk rags you get from a linen service. Right out of the box you could see pulled threads, can't imagine how they'll be after washing numerous times. It's OK, these are kind of disposable, I'm going to throw them in the boat. I would never put them in my bathroom for guests to use, I'm not running a cheap motel.I'm updating, I was a tad hasty with my review. These towels came crammed in a surprisingly small box. The towels were smashed flat hence my negative review. I've since washed them which did fluff them up a bit, so I added a star

When I order things for Animal Shelters and Animal Rescue groups, I have them shipped directly to them and not to me. Therefore it is hard to evaluate the towels. I based ordering these on what I thought was perfect for them, nothing glitzy or expensive, but useful for their purposes. This particular shelter is nearly 100 miles from where I live, otherwise I would have had them shipped to me and delivered them in person. Being somewhat disabled, this was a great way for me to supply something they said they were in need of. My rating is really based upon the description and some of the other rating comments I read about them.

Good price, decent towels - after first washing, they decompress from condition at shipping. MY ONLY BEEF - SO FAR; They SHORTED ME ONE TOWEL! Supposed to be 12 and only received 11 - that is why I took one star off. QUICK UPDATE - ( February 2021) - GREAT TOWELS, they hold up wonderfully - " Still wondering where MY MISSING ONE IS "..............smile.

I gave a 5 star becuse I like these towel very much. They have their flaws such as loose seams and threads. However, I don't know what some people exspect from (12) towels at this price. I washed (6) towels at a time twice. Then using medium heat on first dry (40) mins, second dry low heat (30) mins. First dry they filled the lint filter, second dry was reduced by half and was left with little to no loose lint fibers. So I decided to use them. After showering, I had maybe a few lints flurries in me. I am fine with this. They dry very fast and do a great job at absorbing water. I was left drier than the expensive towels I have. This is much better than I expected from the price I paid and will buy more of these. As far as the people who have major complaints, I can't answer why they do. I guess they expect great towel at a cheap price. They are small somewhat, but do the job of much larger towels. Just give them a try, I mean for the price you can't beat them.

These are not luxury or ultra soft towels, so please consider that before ordering. However, they are really decent towels that I use as backups in the shower/bath and pool area. They absorb pretty well and come in really handy. The are thin and probably would not work well if your expectations are to use just one out of the shower. But use them for your hair only, wipe up water, or to step on and they are just fine.The only negative note is that they are of somewhat lower quality so I do not really expect them to last long and about 1/4 of the ones I received had rips or were beginning to shred at the corners.
