Bulk Buy: Lily Sugar 'n Cream Solids 100% Cotton Yarn (3-Pack) (Warm Brown #1130)

I use Sugar N Cream for wash cloths i knit as gifts. Always with 4-ply worsted weight on a size 6 needle for guage. This color came, Stonewash, and i could see it was a little smaller in guage. I knitted up a swatch and sure enough, I had to add stitches to get the right size. It was also full of gaps, so i went down on my needles, which only helped a little. I was going to keep going, but two of the three skiens had factory joins halfway in. I should be able to make a washcloth with no weaving in the middle. Maybe this color is inferior. Very disappointed.

I love this brand, but even the "limited time deal" was more than what I would pay for one skien. I ordered hot orange and received 1 instead of the pictured 3, and, from this same page, ordered teal and received 3 as described. The teal came from a different seller, leading me to believe that at least one seller posted wrong descriptions. I’ll be returning the orange. I only bought it because it was a "limited time deal."

I’ve used this brand yarn for 15 yrs; this order was as expected. The price is double what I usually pay for this brand or similar, low-end but reliable/sturdy cotton for kitchen & bath items. It’s hard to find color choices anywhere near me or from other sellers amid the pandemic and I needed purples for gifts. The color is close to what’s shown on a device screen as can be depicted. Would buy again but ideally for a lower price. I’d rate price 2 stars, but I did pay it in order to make specific items. Delivery was when expected as well.

A few things:1. The product picture misleads you to think that you get 3 skeins….not so. I was very disappointed when my package came with one measly skein of yarn. I had to reorder (from the same vendor…that was kinda risky but I did it anyway since some reviewers said they actually got all 3)…..I got all 3 the second time around.2. This yarn SPLITS like nobody’s business. I could hardly get a stitch in without this yarn splitting…such a terrible crocheting experience. I probably won’t be using this stuff again.3. There are some serious quality control issues with this yarn. On my second order…the colour I received was much lighter than the he first skein I got (I had to get creative with my project to make it work). If you look closely you’ll see that the yarn on the sleeves, bottom border and the corset in the center are a lighter shade of teal than the rest of the top.To end on a good note?It’s a weight 4 like they said? 🤷🏽‍♀️

I have to say, I thought the was a mistake when I started crocheting with this cotton yarn. I would swear it was an acrylic fiber. I triple checked the label and it is labeled as 200% cotton! It glides across my aluminum hook. In fact, the difference between the "hot blue" and the yellow is unbelievable. The hot blue effortlessly glides while the yellow, well, not so much.

The yarn was a bit more expensive than what I usually spend on cotton, but the color is beautiful and it was worth the extra expense to not have to make a trip to the store.I haven't encountered any knots or breaks in the yarn.Using this to make some shoulder bags and matching coin purses.

I only had 2 instead of 3 as shown on your discretion . I was so disappointed !

I am a beginner at making dish cloths for family and friends. This yarn is wonderful, and everyone loves the bright color. The skeins are not "pieced" together, as I found others to be, which is so nice! I would highly recommend! Enjoy.
