Fast & easy to sand with no shrinking!!!
I love this stuff to fill grain & seal wood on open grain wood, for me that usually Mahogany. You can tint it to contrast & bring out the appearance of the grain. Cures bone dry in 3 minutes in the sun. Sands easy to level out. 2 coats & your sealed & ready for paint or clear coat. No shrinkage either so no grain lines appearing latter. Fast & easy. This is my second time ordering & it arrived fast. Great stuff & I highly recommend.

Price Gouging!
I bought this a few months ago at $22.95 for the pint now it's over $60, that's the price from Solarez. Product was great for that price but not for over 60 dollars. It's very messy, be prepared to wait for the peak of the UV index at any given day, for that reason, unless you leave near the Equator you can't use it all year round. This one stinks bad, not as bad as the resin but you need to get a real respirator with the cartridges for fumes. It will get all gunked up and sticky if you don't get the right amount of exposure in every imaginable angle. If you have the genius idea of getting a UV lamp here to help you out, well you will be disappointed, you need a massive size of UV lamp and certain type of UV to make it work, those types of lamps are for commercial use, really expensive and you will be wearing something that looks like a space suit while using them; the ones you'll find here are the ones for tiny projects or small repairs.

Fumey and Tacky, but still a good product
Make sure to stir it to make sure everything is mixed properly before use. It is advertised as a non-fumey, non tacky, quick finish. Unfortunately you cant have it all. It still has a powerful smell, but not as toxic as a laquer. The stuff cures a bit tacky, and sanding between coats is definitely advised. Besides those errors in their advertising, it still is a great product that cures quickly and works great to fill and seal the grain. Highly recommend!

Fast but a bit smelly.
Used it to finish guitars. It has a nasty smell, unlike the Solarez UV cure finish, but not a solvent smell. Maybe it's the filler they use in the grain filler version. It doesn't get everywhere like fumes from lacquer or spray paint. It's fairly localized to where it's being applied and disappears once cured. In any case it cures in minutes either under the sun or a LED UV light fixture. Saves tons of time.

Fills grain. Hard as a rock.
It certainly fills grain, but make sure you don't use too much or slather it on too thick - It dries as hard as a rock and takes some effort to sand back smooth. Goes on pretty thick and I found it hard to thin out. (Can you mix it with acetone or something to thin it out to make it less viscous?) There is some odor while applying it (it smells like fiberglass resin) but it is not too overwhelming. It's very convenient that it dries in minutes in UV light. That claim is certainly true! You just have to make sure not to try to apply it when it is exposed to any sunlight.

Smelly, Doesn't lay down well even when scraped off
First off even with a Mask rated for gas-fumes it will tear your lungs up it smells just like Fiberglass Resin. It laid on a guitar body with lots off lines and runs even when scraping it off and it also starts taking some of the stain with it so be careful. Hopefully this will sand out because I have a lot of sanding to do ahead of me not looking forward to the polyester finish step if I even get that far.

Pretty good if used correctly
Does not sand that great so care must be taken to get all excess off. Will take minimum 2 coats to fill grain. Expensive and time consuming to use but fills grain well and does cure quickly.

We ordered This product at the end of March 2022 and just attempted to use it today, being May 2022. Upon opening the bottle, the liquid had completely gelled and is unusable. With a price point of $80, definitely disappointed and we are requesting the seller refund our money. As an aside the fumes are outrageous and you will need a mask!
