PHIBEE Big Boy's Waterproof Breathable Snowboard Ski Jacket

So impressed with these jackets, I'm compelled to write a review! I did my research on jackets this year for my two boys (6 and 4). I want (need for my sanity?) them to be able to go outside no matter the weather. Things I was looking for...1.) WATERPROOF (This is NOT the same as water "resistant"). Lesson learned.2.) Thumb cuffs for their hands.3.) Neon- I don't want my kids in dark colors. I panic enough about WHAT they're doing... I don't need to be panicking about WHERE they are... I can also spot them in neons whether its outaide playing, in the woods or coming down a ski slope.4.) Thick easy zippers with a cover/fold at the chin... obviously.5.) A jacket thats warm enough where layers underneath aren't necessary! I don't want to put up barriers to my kids walking out the door... put the jacket on and go!6.) Adjustable hood- so it's actually useful and not in their face.The closest jacket that came to these specs was a Spyder brand jacket... for $180 (absurd price for a 4 and 6 year old!). So I decided to try this Phibee brand out... SO IMPRESSED with the quality!!!!!My 4 year old is very tall and skinny I got him a size 6 and it fits like a glove.I got my 6 year old who is also pretty tall a size 8 and it fits great, but I think he'll get 2 years out of it!

You have to understand, my 8 year old's superpower is zipper destruction. He rips, wrangles, pulls and tears at those tabs with such ferociousness it would make a rabid lion run for cover. He finds normal zipper function a challenge and I have watched in terror as he laughs maniacally, defeating the highest of high end outwear, while giving good ole' Columbia and Spyder the finger.This PHIBEE coat has proven to be a fierce competitor for the pulverizer of the pull tab!!!!Not only is this coat durable, it is lightweight and warm with FANTASTIC colors and graphics! He loves this coat!!!! And so do I!!!!I honestly didn't have very high hopes for this coat because it just seemed too good a price for a quality item. I WAS WRONG!!!!I highly recommend.(Ordered a 10-he wears a 10 and he is slim in stature. Fits perfect with room for layering).

Bought this for my 5 year old son. Who seen it and wouldn’t have any other coat. It’s rated for extremely cold weather and living in the Midwest we see sun zero temps often. I got a size 8, he’s a size 7 so the coat is a tad big. But he doesn’t like tight things. So he has plenty of room for his shirt and to move and grow in the coat. The thumb grip liner keeps the sleeves down while playing in the snow and on the playground to make sure he keeps warm. It’s all around perfect. From the colors to the fit. He had it on for 3minutes in the house and the fleece liner was already keeping his body warmth in.

This jacket is good quality and WARM! It will do well in Wisconsin winters.There are plenty of pockets, including a mesh pocket inside the coat, another clear pocket and even a zip pocket on the sleeve. The sleeves has separate thumb holes that can easily be tucked in and the wrist can be tightened nice and snug.This jacket is definitely exactly what we wanted. Except the color that we received is not the color that we ordered. We ordered the coat that was listed with the description "Multi1" and we received the one that was listed with the description "Multi" - so a bit bummed about that especially since it was among the least favorite of the choices.Since this item took a while to ship, and the quality is still great, we are just going to use what we've got and I would still recommend the jacket. It will be perfect for our snow loving Son!

Ordered for my 14 year old. I ordered the size 16. When it arrived it was smaller than the size 14 he has outgrown. The jacket itself is really nice though. Wish it was more true to size.

I was skeptical of this purchase for sure!!! We live in Montana and it get very cold here in the winter. I wanted something to keep my 3rd grade son warm and dry during those school days in the winter since here they go outside 95% of time even when it's cold. For the price I was a little scared since I had never heard of this brand but So far so good. Its only the first week in Dec but he really likes this coat and says it keeps him warm. It is waterproof as well not just water resistant. Would recommend to friends and family.

My son loves his jacket. I am happy that it's waterproof because... Washington. It looks black in the picture, but is actually a dark navy blue, and the color even says blue. So, if you are like me and didn't read the color when you selected it thinking it was black... there you go. I like how the neon yellow contrasts with the blue.

It took me too long to write this review as my grandson is now wearing this set for the second winter (I purchased matching pants of the same brand as well). Watching him play in the snow today I thought of what a great purchase this was! The quality is comparable to many of the top names in ski wear, at a fraction of the price! The entire set is very attractive, warm, waterproof, well constructed, and looks just as sharp as several much more expensive name brands. My daughter will surely be saving this to pass down to his baby brother. I highly recommend this brand and will be searching out another when my grandson outgrows it!
