As a groundskeeper I need regular access to my keys all day and it gets tedious digging them out of pockets and they don't feel too good in there in the first place. I like having my keys on my hip for easy access and because I like the sound it makes when I walk. I had tried a few of the retractable key/badge holders but they're all intended for very light loads and all of them ended up breaking at some point. I found this searching for a replacement and decided to try it. So far, a few weeks later, I have zero complaints.Some highlights:- Both sides are magnetic so the attraction is strong and it also means you could buy multiple sets of these and mix and match them. It also means that both sides can be attached to anything metallic which can be quite convenient. As a bonus, it also means that on the off chance you miss the actual coupler it will likely still grab hold of your key ring and stop your keys from dropping.- The magnetic coupler AND the carabiners both lock and can be easily locked and unlocked with one hand without looking at them. This is VERY useful if you're about to do something like ride in a car or do some jumping jacks and want to be absolutely sure your keys are secure. The coupler is a screw on lock and is very secure, your belt loop would probably rip off before it would fail.- Easy to snap the couplers together without looking. If you get them within an inch of each other they usually snap right into place.10/10 I'd buy it again.

The media could not be loaded. Bought this a year ago because I had gone through 3 carabiners in two year for my work keys that was being taken on/off my belt 20+ times a day. I was in the market for something sturdier. So far it has been working wonderfully! Magnet is good and strong, I haven't needed to use the lock feature since I use my keys so often. The only down side is occasionally getting stuck to metal (I'm in maintenance at a local theme park) when passing through narrow gates/doorways, but won't stop me from using the keychain. I would very much recommend this product to anyone who needs quick access to their keys. It's a shame item no longer for sale, it's an amazing product for those of us who use keys constantly on daily basis.

I like this product a lot. I use it on my disc golf bag for my range finder. It works really well. Well constructed and a solid magnetic pull on the link between the carabiners. I'm hoping it lasts for years to come!

This thing has powerful little magnets, but they can and will come apart from other stressor if not locked by screw. No direction on package. The slide lock to lock the clips are not easy on the thumb or nails. It does what it's supposed to do, just has a learning curve if you want to quickly and easily use it.

This is a great product that keeps my keys where I want them. Little things like this that are well made add a little bit of efficiency to your life that adds up over time.The one area that I think could be an improvement is an adjustment to the locking mechanism so that it is a little more efficient. If they could / would make it so that it fully locks with about 1/3 of a turn of the outside lock cylinder, it would be faster and easier to lock in place with one simple twist of the thumb and middle finger.I can't complain though, I love things like this. Great product.

Love it! If you need keys to get into every room at work, this is the perfect key chain. No more slouching over with the keys hanging from your lanyard to get into a room. They easily detach and the strong magnet makes it easy for them to reattach. They also have a locking mechanism if you want to be extra secure. Seems quite durable. Great for teachers!

I have to use a key fob to enter the garage at my condo, so I needed a key ring that could allow me to quickly separate the house key ring with the key fob from the ring with the car key. This works great; the magnet is strong but separates easily with a quick tug. It's a little bigger than I expected, but still fits well in my front jeans pocket. The nut that is used to prevent accidental separation was tight when I first unscrewed it; it took a couple of tries. Now it loosens easily with my fingers but doesn't come loose in my pocket when I have it closed. Recommended.

I bought this product for the sole reason that, at my place of work, retractable keys/id holders are a major safety concern. Overall, I love using it, it works wonderfully. However, I do have quality concerns. After 7 months of consistent use, the magnet from the side without the lock fell out and had to be chemically cemented back in. (I consider this both a pro and con because it shows how strong the tiny magnets are, other glues would not.) The coating that is on the magnet somehow cracked and began chipping off creating small shards of sharp metal that were not a welcome surprise. I eventually peeled the coating off of the coating of the chipping side to prevent more shards, the other side never chipped at all. I found that the small plastic piece used to hold the carabiner shut fell out of place repeatedly. The small rubber seal used to hold the screw lock shut also fell off at some point. The locking screw began to wear down the aluminum of the receiving end of the carabiner, making it difficult to twist closed with one hand. Overall, I really do love this product despite my gripes against it. I constantly get asked by coworkers where I found it and complimented on its overall solid quality. I really hope that the small issues that I have with the product can be fixed in the next version (maybe making the middle of the carabiner/lock system a bit smaller?). For the time being, I am definitely contemplating getting a new one as mine has definitely run its course.
