Perfect then leaks
I was given these as a birthday gift. Worked perfectly then after about 9months the seal popped off the top causing water and coffee grounds to leaks out.I bought replacement seals from Sealpod and about a month later they leaked.I tried making a silicon washer which still didn’t hold the seal in place.Seal pod replaced with a whole new set and now they have stopped working after 3 months.Very expensive for a few months use.Don’t buy unless you like mopping up the counter and drinking coffee through gritted teeth.

Sturdy design and easy to use
I bought these a year ago and only started using them now. I'm not sure why I waited. I guess I expected them to be fussy to assemble and clean, and so I put off learning it. In reality, both aspects I noted are really simple. I've been experimenting with different coffee blends to put into the pods (ones that don't come in capsule form) with some nice results.Pros:- Built really sturdy. The components are mostly metal, with a thick rubber cover that goes on top. I expect the pods will ultimately outlast me.- You can use any coffee brand. A primary reason why I bought these is that I didn't like the limited variety of brands available in capsule form. I like using blends from local brewers for example.- Straightforward assembly. I was shyed away at first, but assembling the pods is really user friendly. You don't even have to use a filter.- Easy to clean. I pretty much just dump the pod contents onto a paper towel, throw the towel away, then rinse the components slightly. Takes me half a minute.- No accessory purchase required. You don't have to keep buying anything special just to use these pods, even if you use a filter. While the pods come with 100-200 paper filters that are sized exactly for them, you can pretty much just buy regular filter bags from a store and cut them to size (assuming you run out of those that come included).- Nothing to recycle/less to throw away (probably goes without saying). The usual schtick is to bring up environmental concerns, but for me the more immediate concern is quick pileup of trash and the frequency with which you have to empty it out. Spending say 10 minutes less per month on trips to the trash can outside is a lot once it adds up.Cons:- Might be a limitation with dolce capsules in general: If you're like me and you're trying to replicate cafe coffee cheaply, say by brewing espresso shots, I'm not sure if you can distill the coffee well enough with these pods without needing to thin it out with a lot of water. So your cappuccino might get slightly more watery/mild in taste.- Personal nitpick: While a pod is built really sturdy, the inner parts are small enough for a klutz like myself to lose or accidentally throw in the trash when emptying the pod for cleaning. One part that goes at the bottom of the pod especially. This is not really a flaw with the pods, but something to be aware of.

Don't count on it to make an espresso
I would have loved to like this product. It is well made, the instructions are clear, it fits perfectly in the machine...But, and that's a big one, it is absolutely useless to make an espresso. I tried with the metal filter both up and down, with and without paper filter, at different levels of coffee filling and water... The result is always the same, a weak coffee with very little foam and without the citric punch of a nice espresso.Could be useful as a drip coffee machine replacement, but certainly won't compete with an original Dolce Gusto (or other brand) single-use plastic pod.

Didn't fit in our De'Longhi Lattissima Pro (OriginalLine) machine
We had to return these SEAL PODs because they didn't fit our machine, which is a De'Longhi EN750MB Nespresso Lattissima Pro, which supports Nespresso OriginalLine pods.Because Nespresso pods come in two sizes: OriginalLine and Verissimo, we thought the Nespresso "Dulce Gusto" size must be equivalent to the OriginalLine size (since Verissimo wasn't mentioned anywhere). So, we bought the item, hoping that it would fit/replace OriginalLine pods, but unfortunately they didn't fit, or at least they didn't fit in our machine. Technically, the advertising is correct, as it didn't actually say that it fits OriginalLine pods.So our feedback would be to add language in the description that it does not fit Nespresso OriginalLine machines.
