Does the job
It was easy to apply and made my mahogany doors look great. The clear coat was used after applying the stain version of this product.

Exceptional and rare product
I have used the ProLuxe since they were Sikkens. As an exterior oil based stain, this product line, whileseemingly rare, is by far the best product for exterior use that I have found. I used to makeStorm/Screen doors on the coast of Maine, usually out of Mahogany, but also Accoya wood, and in the case of each of those species, I was mightily impress with how well the finish held up byfollowing the directions on the ProLuxe website. An annual refresher is recommented...light sandingand another coat. Perfect. I hesitate to use even the finest of Marine Spar varnishes now that I have triedthis oil stain product.

Good product that stands up to the sun on a doo
Not cheap but a very good product for something like a wood door that gets a lot of direct sun.

Make sure this is the right product before you buy
I watched a youtube that showed this product used as a stain for a fiberglass door. It looked good so I ordered it, but in the very fine print on the can it said that you should call them if you intend to use it on fiberglass. When I called, I was told I needed a paint-like primer under the stain. This would negate the point as it would no longer have the look of stained wood. They agreed to a return of the product, but charged me for shipping in both directions, so I ended up getting about $10 back on a $35 purchase. I didn't use it, so I can't rate the quality of the product, but the information I needed was lacking in the product description so I give it a one-star rating.
