Not my favorite BOOM.
Just okay for me.I liked December & Gareth (& his boys) but their story lacked that something special. There was no real drama, no infamous BOOM! (like how it's been felt in the past with all the other characters), no surprises & just... well, no real plot. The story mostly centered on them coming together, her fitting into his/his sons lives, comments from their families & that's about it. There was a teeny-tiny attempt at some danger (the kind we expect from the kids' stories in this series) but I found it to be poorly executed & quickly squished in at the end.I just needed more from this book & unfortunately, it never happened.

Sweet and sexy, a great poolside read! Fall in love with December!
Boom! Another great romantic read by Aurora Rose Reynolds (ARR)! Until December has everything I love about the Until Series! Classic ARR; hot sexy alpha males, intelligent females, chemistry and lots of steamy stuff. A great go-to! A fun & sexy read!Until December is the second generation of the Until’ books. In the first generation we learn about the famous “boom!” A moment where the Mayson men meet their “forever” girl and just feel it…. the boom! The men are hot, sexy, thoughtful, & possessive alphas. Aurora Rose Reynolds tells stories that are my “go to” happy place for an escape, even if only for a moment.“Family, love, devotion, and determination are what I grew up seeing all around me.”The Mayson men are dedicated to their women and their families. Each one has a unique quality about them. But there are the Mayson women too! They are not immune to the “BOOM”! And Gareth…he is no exception. He has the Mayson style of male possessiveness and alpha tendencies.Gareth was first introduced in Until Harmony. He is Harmony’s single dad-neighbor. ARR does a great job of incorporating the events of the previous books, and tying them into December and Gareth’s story.December and Gareth meet at a family wedding and the pull is there from the start. But that start is a bit delayed by the “family rule” (no spoilers!). After some tough talk and a bit of drama, December and Gareth give in and eventually fall into a routine. Of course there is no Mayson road that is straight or easy so drama and shenanigans ensue.“I’m a Mayson, Gareth Black. I know I’m not adventurous or very outgoing, but I’m still a Mayson.”Until December is a quick, romantic, read. I did not want to put it down! There is some drama (not a lot compared to most Boom books), humor, and some angst tied up with a whole lot of love! I read this in one sitting! I have to give a shout out to December’s cat “Melbourne.” I laughed out loud at some of the funniest scenes surrounding the cat!You can absolutely read this book as a standalone, however I recommend reading any of the Until Series or even just the second generation! I have to say that I was tickled by all of the references about December being a “book nerd,” meeting authors at book signings and hanging out with book friends! It was like tipping her hat to all of the readers out there! Thank you Ms. Reynolds! And so we wait for our next Boom…. As long as you write them I will read them!Until her, I never believed in happily ever after, but I know she was bought into my boys’ and my life to prove they really do exist.”4.5 stars!#AuthorAuroraRoseReynolds #UntilDecember #BookNerd #HotAndSexy #FastAndFunRead #Humor #NA #NewAdult #Blogger #DecemberAndGareth #Steamy #MustRead #1Click #Boom! #Love #Romance #AlphaMales #StrongFemales #INeedMore #WhoWillBeTheNextBoom? #TheMaysons

Boom Big Time!!
I just want to start by saying the original Until Series is one of my top five favorite series and Until Him/Her series is like right behind it. I love seeing the continuation of so many stories with every book. You have all the sisters and cousins that get together and support each other, you get glimpses into future Mayson family "booms" and you get to revisit the original "Boom" couples after all the kids are grown up. I love this series, its like coming home every time I read a book, and Until December was no different. One thing I loved about this book was the very believable way things played out. Don't get me wrong I love the Maysons and all the drama that comes with them but it was nice to just get an old fashioned ex who liked to cause drama, a single dad and the very real complications associated with being a single dad and even money problems which isn't something that usually comes up in these books.I LOVED IT ALL!December is this great elementary school teach, she is sweet and loving and above all she is a Mayson.Gareth is a single dad, working two jobs, trying to be the best provider he can but the one thing he doesn't see coming is that Mayson "Boom" in the form of sweet little December. These two have instant chemistry and their journey from first meeting, awkward/ruff beginning to their HEA is such a lovely journey to go on and while this can be read as a stand alone I HIGHLY RECOMMEND READING THE OTHER BOOKS IN THE SERIES FIRST!Definity a must read!

#LovetheBOOM
Until November started my love of the Mayson family, author Aurora Rose Reynolds taught me all about the “BOOM”. So far I can honestly say I have not met a Mayson I didn’t like.December and Gareth captured my heart right away, when you add Gareth’s two sons Max and Mitchell you have a recipe for the perfect Boom.December sees Gareth at her cousins wedding from across the room and is instantly struck by attraction. But before she even has a chance to say a word her more outgoing sister April stakes a verbal claim on him. Blood is thicker than water in the Mayson family and the Mayson girls made a pact they do not date ANYONE one of the other sisters might be interested in. So that means that Gareth is now off limits. Too bad no one told Gareth this rule. Because he too noticed December across the room. Now I’m thinking it’s pretty standard that there’s a scary bad guy or crazy ex in each Until recipe for perfect Boom to gel. This story had that and more. The relationship she builds with Gareth and his two sons makes you wish once again that you were a Mayson. I hated to see this come to the end and as always I can’t wait Until the next Mayson comes along.

Another great Mayson family boom!
To start, I just want to say that I love anything by ARR so I don't know why it took me so long to read Until December, but it was as great as I've come to expect from her!Until December is the story of December Mayson and Gareth, a single father, who meet on the night of December's cousin's wedding. December is an introvert, an avid reader and lover of her own space, something her sisters try to push her out of. Gareth's life on the other hand is full, juggling two jobs and two sons single-handedly, so a relationship is not what either of them needs or expects. But their instant attraction results in a BOOM and they have to navigate the messy path to their HEA, involving a crazy ex, communication confusion and a crazy dog. Will their boom result in a HEA?December is such a strong independent woman, she just prefers to keep that side of her hidden until she absolutely needs it, but you can tell she's a Mayson from the start. I loved how she stood up for those she loves and her relationship with her sisters was so sweet and hilarious, I love how their girls nights always seem to end in drunken disaster! Gareth was hesitant to open his heart after the awful end to his past relationship, but he had to see where the attraction with December would lead, even after they got off to a rough start. He realised quickly that it was more than a want, him and his boys needed her in their lives for good. How they all fit together and became a family was so sweet and beautiful, proving that family doesn't have to be blood.Aurora’s books are such great escapes from the world, they are steamy, sweet and romantic, full of alpha heroes and fiery heroines, with enough drama and suspense to keep you hooked. It was great to see the other members of the family and how in love they all still are, it’s made me want to go back and re-read their stories. Until December is another great addition to this series and I can’t wait for whatever Mayson cousin is next!

Had the potential to be a fantastic book.
This review is so hard to write. It was such a slow start. They literally meet and there's a connection, but I, personally, didn't feel the connection. There was no build up. It just happened.I was going to give up And read something else. The last few books have been a bit of a let down. They felt rushed and felt like I was missing parts. Things just happened out of nowhere. But it got so good. The connection finally felt like it was there and I was left on the edge of my seat wondering what drama would happen that would get the heroine to save her....It did not happen. The story had such potential. They have 2 things happening that you see very briefly throughout the book. And I kept hoping something big would happen with one or the other. Both subjects had the potential to set this book apart from others. But the ending was such a let down. It came out of nowhere. I wont post spoilers but I know the ending is a huge thing going on in the US right now and I'm not sure if the author skipped that "major scene" because she didn't want to upset anyone. But I have faith in Auroras writing and really do believe she could have shared some light on such a touchy and heart breaking subject. But I felt like it was glossed over and it ruined the ending for me.I will continue to keep reading the series because I'm so invested in the boom. But I really hope Aurora brings us the boom we all know and love. She's such an amazing writer and a beautiful person. She smashed the storyline with the heroine and his boys. She couldn't have made that more perfect. I even had tears every time she stood by the boys when they were conflicted about their mum.

Couldn't put it down
As with all of Aurora Rose Reynolds books, once I started I struggled to put it down until I finished! December and Gareth are such a wonderful couple. It was refreshing to read an "Until" book where no one is shot or kidnapped!Although this book was not without its drama, just not as intense as some of the others!Mitchell and Max made this book top level perfect! I loved them all! I loved how December loved them all instantly and nurtured the boys like a real mother should. It was sweet.Until December is in my top 5 favourite by this author.

This series gets better and better
The Until Series just gets better and better!I loved the Until series but the UNTIL HER series has been extra special! Each stand alone story has been unique but there has been something extra special with the Until December book; I am a sucker for a book with a single dad and Gareth is a single dad with two great boys Mitchell and Max one 9 and one 15 going on 25!December and Gareth are attracted to each other from he moment they meet but due to a misunderstanding at a party both attend and a packed December has with her sisters since childhood she turns Gareth away!Gareth raising 2 boys and holding down 2 jobs finds it hard to commitment -he had his first child at 17 his wife Beth left him then came back 9 years later and they had another son together - she never stayed around and Gareth at first thinks December will be the same. The boys love they mum but are used to the disappointment of a mum telling them she 'loves them' but then disappears for a few months. But as they get to spend time with December they beginning to release that not all women are the same. Can December show them all that she is here to stay and loves them unconditionally even when the mother comes back and threatens everything they are building!I am so looking forward to the next book in the series and hope that April gets her story.UNTIL the next time!

Good but not as good as the others
I have read all the books in this series and this book just didn’t match up to the others for me. I still enjoyed it but I just felt that it was a little rushed and a little too neat and tidy. One of the things I like about Aurora Rose is that she really knows how to bring her alpha males to life but Gareth in this book just wasn’t as “alpha” as the others. Yes he is still built and still jealous and over protective but he just didn’t have that charisma. What is good about the story though is that it is focused on family love and Gareth’s 2 little boys Max & Mitchell and how December falls in love with them all. There is a little bit of drama towards the end with Gareth’s ex and the crazy school teacher but that was all contained and played out In a tight little package! Not like the other books where you got a lot more. I also couldn’t figure out whether Gareth was ever married to his ex or not and then divorced, but I guess it didn’t matter in the end because he proposed. I loved the epilogue and adored the two boys but this book could have been much better than what it was.
