Carhartt overalls work for me
Needed a pair of overalls to clean out a house, garage, and 5 acres for an elderly person. Knew this was going to be a huge effort to get the job done. Had a pair of overalls many years ago when I was in college but not had a pair since. Ordering online made me nervous because I had only one opportunity to get the sizing correct since there would be no time to send them back if they did not fit. An ideal fit in normal pants ( if they actually sold this size) would be a 37 waist and about a 33.5 length. I ordered 40x34 in these Carthartt denim overalls. Out of the box it was pretty snug if I had all 4 waist buttons buttoned. I figured I would just keep just one of the upper buttons unbuttoned which would be fine. Plenty of room to move in all directions, squatting and bending . Length just sweeps the ground wearing boots which was perfect. Working in Texas Hill Country in upper 90 degree heat, bandana on head, work gloves, dust mask, shoveling, lifting, lugging ( you name it ) for 5 very long days. Packed a 20-yard rubbish bin with an unimaginable amount of crap. Breaking that first sweat is the worst but after that just keep working. These bib overalls were EXACTLY what I needed for this job. Wearing normal blue jeans would have driven me crazy in no time cause they just don't stay up. I would have been constantly pulling them up trying to cover the butt crack. Doing gawd-awful work in dusty dirty searing heat is bad enough, doing it while pulling up my britches every couple of minutes would have been absolute hell. Soon there was plenty of room in the waist with all buttons buttoned - I was sweating buckets every day. One thing I noticed is a bit of blue dye transfer to a white t-shirt with all the sweat ( had not washed overalls previously) but this was just a work t-shirt so no worries there. At times I was using external knee pads for the crawling work but could imagine that without those the knees of the overalls would wear quickly. Am back from that trip and need to wash them -- hoping they don't shrink and I don't "grow" because these are perfect. Not sure I set any fashion trend but Highly recommend if you have similar types of chores to complete.

Overall pleased.
I usually wear a 34 length. These Carhartts seem a touch longer than my 34 Liberty's. Liberty pants pockets are much more generous, back and front. I prefer them. But the Carhartt's have the watch pocket which I like. The shoulder strap is attached with a clip in attachment. It's OK, but I prefer the loop and button. A bonus to the loop and button in Carhartts is that you can snap them into the chest pockets buttons when washing and they don't bang around as much. (Carhartt's lined bibs used to have these, don't know if they still do.) Chest pockets on the Carhartts, as others have said, are too small to be useful for just about anything (except the laundry thing if shoulder straps had loop and button). I prefer the Liberty chest pockets (unless Carhartt were to go back to the loop and button), although they have their own issues. And I rarely use the chest pockets in any case. The hammer loop on the Liberty is MUCH bigger than on the Carhartts. It's easier to find but I have had hammers fall out of it. I prefer the Carhartts but it can be tricky to find some times. A compromise between the two would be preferable. The utility side pockets on the Liberty, again, are more generous than on the Carhartts. But both pretty much hold what you need. Overall, I've owned and used Carhartts for years and years and I've bought LIbertys for years and years. Carhartts seem much more durable, but at an added expense. Don't think you'd go wrong with either.

Love these
Since I bought my house I had been working outside reworking my land. While it is a labor of love, the one thing I could not stand was pulling my pants up every couple of minutes. This really bothered me, so I decided one day I was going to get a pair of overalls. Thinking I was primarily wearing these cutting down trees, pouring concrete and other tasks, I wanted something that was known to last. If you are trying to determine Carhartt vs. Dickies, I can't help you as I never owned a pair of either until I bought this pair, but I chose Carhartt based on reputation and recommendation from a friend. The one mistake I made was ordering my pants size, I should have followed some other reviews that suggested buy 1-2 sizes bigger. So when my first pair arrived, I immediately returned them and got a bigger size. The seller credited my account very fast, so there are no issues here.I love these overalls. My oldest daughter doesn't want to be seen with me (only 14....) but they have held up to some serious stuff. I have yet to rip them, which is huge. There are tons of pockets and I love the loop for my hammer. Back to the pockets, I have to say that I proved they are also great for carrying beer. I have a beer fridge in my garage and when I have some buddies over helping on a project I can easily carry a twelve pack (pockets and hands). One Negative!!!!! The buckle to adjust the straps is difficult. And they did rust a little after the first wash. But on the flip side, that means the setting of your straps will not change while working.Bottom line, I will buy another pair when the life runs out of these.

das leidige Problem mit der Größe
Auf der Hersteller-Website findet sich die Empfehlung: "For the best fit, order one size larger in waist and one size shorter for inseam length. If wearing heavy layers, order two sizes larger in waist.

Nice material, terrible sizing
I ordered the same size as my R01 overalls (which fit perfectly) and I am disappointed in the fit. They are tight around the waist, and way too long in the legs. The material is nice, light, and soft, but I cant fit a hoodie under them for chilly mornings as they fit tight to my belly, and I have to roll up the legs, or else I will be constantly tripping over them

Good product
Good product , the only reason I’m giving them a 4 star is because the carhartt embroidered on the front is already starting to come off and we’ve only had them less than a month . Other then that , nice pair of coveralls for my boyfriend

sightly large on back side.
The coveralls fit fine except the hip area is somewhat large.
