Joseph Joseph Slim Compact Soap Dish

I have more than my share of JJ products but they've missed a few tricks with this.1. Your soap will need to be fairly small to sit in the dish.2. The soap still sits flat against the back of the dish so the back can still get soggy.3. The water drainage slot doesn't go all the way across the bottom of the dish so water can be still pool at the bottom so the bottom of the soap gets soggy.This was a real disappointment.

I bought this solely to match other blue/white Joseph and Joseph items in my bathroom, and... it doesn't match. You'd expect items in the same range and colour option to be close in colour, but they're completely different shades of blue/turquoise and the finish is completely different (gloss on this, matt on everything else).Aside from that, it's a basic plastic soap dish, I could have bought something a tenth of the price that would serve the same purpose if I hadn't wanted the same colour...

I bought the "Joseph Joseph Slim Compact Soap Dish" along with the "Joseph Joseph Bathroom Flex Plus Smart Toilet Brush with Storage Bay" and the "Joseph Joseph Bathroom Easy-Store Toothbrush Caddy" for my newly decorated bathroom.The soap dish looks rather small and wasn't sure if it would be big enough, I use the Simple brand soap and it fits the dish perfectly. No more soggy wet soap which is nice.The base easily detaches from the top for cleaning but is secure when fitted together, there is also a hole on one of the sides so you can easily empty any soap residue/water without having to take bottom and top apart, i find this convenient as i like to use the side hole to empty soap residue/water after each shower without having to take apart. Nice compact design.My only negative is the price. At £8 it's expensive for a bit of plastic, never even heard of the Joseph Joseph brand myself so can't see how you paying for brand name. Either way still very happy with the soap dish and would recommend but there are cheaper alternatives that would probably be just as good.

Love how this looks and its easy to keep clean ... it does keep the soap free from scum as long as you have the hole facing downwards so that the excess water automatically comes out the overflow .Regular emptying also helps with this .The draining hole has a little lip that means water sometimes collects in front , I feel it should be at the bottom to work more efficiently. A tad expensive for what it is , but its JJ and good quality and well made.

Pros:- Small cute soap dish in pastel blue & white.- The base can be separated from the dish in order to clean & clear out any residual liquid.- There is a hole which can also be used to clear any residual liquid.- The removable base fits firmly with the main dishThe drawbacks:- The dish itself is small. So can't hold any big bar soap- Ridiculously Over-priced going by the size
