The Science of Disney Imagineering: Design and Models Classroom Edition

I received this video yesterday and watched it with my 8 year old son. He laughed the whole way through it but learned so much! He took the quiz at the end and got 14 of 15 correct! I was very entertained as well and learned alot myself. This would be great for a classroom as well as home use. I will be buying more in this series! Everything that you would expect from Disney and more!

I have a budding Imagineer in my house. My 9 year old has only had one career goal since he was 3, to be an Imagineer at Disney. This DVD, along with the rest of the series, have been great! He gets a glimpse into how the rides he loves were made, while learning about the science that makes them. He watches one every night before bed. I hope Disney makes more.

Another hit from the Disney Imagineers. I find these videos are great to reinforce concepts, and it has my students begging to learn more. I'm had to promise them that I'd find time at the end of the year to create the hovercraft project that they demonstrated. When you have students begging you to do labs you know you've found a hit!

I bought this for Ascension Elementary School in gang territory. The teachers and kids loved it. Wish we could afford to buy more of their products.

This entire series has been such a gem of a find for our homeschooling classroom. The kids watch them regularly and find them fun to watch. While sometimes sounding more like a commercial for Disney, they are actually very informative and engaging. Really happy with them.

As a prelude to a paper engineering activity, I showed this to 8th graders. It was well received. I thought it was very interesting!

This is a perfect supplement for the F.I.R.S.T. Lego League project part of the robotics league. Fits the kids age level and is extremely informative! Ask your local library to get a copy if you are homeschooling or your kids are in an engineering type of program. This video has great examples of physical modeling, computer modeling, and play-testing models shown right from theme park attractions, and the host is goofy enough to hold students' attention. Great for middle school level engineering.
