A friend bought one, and I laughed -- how good could a piece of S-shaped plastic be?? I tried it, and I was hooked! (No pun intended!!) You can reach all areas of your back and get a fantastic massage. You can use leverage and add pressure as needed by pulling up or down on it. I've tried other ones since then with extra handles and gizmos, but this simple design is still by far my favourite design. Durable, easy to use, and it can hang nicely in a closet or be placed under a bed to hide it. Or, just leave it out and use it as a conversation-starter!

Got recommended this by someone over the cheaper alternatives as he tried and tried many different brands and styles and found this to be the best one for the grips he created to resolve trigger points in the neck and back. ANyway back to the backnobbber, I let my brother use it and he said it's the only thing he's ever tried that gets one particular spot on his neck/trap muscle that nothing and no one can ever hit properly, so I bought him one (well I gave him mine and bought myself another one).
