Organic Hemp Heart Protein Powder-74% | 22 Grams Protein Per Serving I Cold Processed & Stored | Made from The Hemp Heart | 3 LB

I am attempting a mostly vegan diet. This MOCU organic, hemp hearts, protein powder is exactly what I need. I believe hemp protein powder is similar to soy in that it is a complete protein, supplying all the essential amino acids that we need that our bodies cannot make. (I avoid soy due to some articles saying it affects hormones.) There are 20 different amino acids listed on the back of the bag with amount per serving. (I have no idea what amounts of each we should have. That’s research I haven’t attempted yet.) I am also trying to avoid lectins and, from my research, this product is lectin free. The organic, hemp heart, protein powder has more protein than regular hemp powder and has a basically neutral taste which is great for me. I mix this with organic blueberry powder and a couple more organic powders together which gives me a shake that tastes good. For those that say it tastes bad, I wouldn’t say bad. It’s just very bland on its own, but I need to add other powders for their health benefits, so it tastes good for that reason. Even if I didn’t want to add other powders, I would still drink the hemp powder on its own - I would just add less water to get it over with and chase it with another drink. The packaging states that hemp hearts do not contain THC. I have read that hemp powder will not show up on a drug test but that hemp heart protein may. Sooo, I have no idea about that. It depends on which article I’ve last read. Depending on the day, I read yes it does show on a drug test or no it doesn’t. 🤦🏻‍♀️ Apparently, different batches of hemp protein can test differently. ??? I do not care for “zip type” packages on any product, because I don’t want it be a pain to get in the package and be messy with my scoop falling down into the powder. So, I always take powders that come in bags and put them in containers. This way, my scoop stays put and I don’t have to get my hands in the powder to scoop out the scoop. It just makes it easier. I do not fault any company for using bags instead of plastic containers. It’s no big deal to me. I just transfer the products to an easier to access, screw-on, plastic container. I’m a pack rat. If I have a container and scoops that I think I can reuse, I’ll store them until needed. (Although, I must be able to remove all labels before I will keep a container to reuse it - that’s my one requirement - lol.) I do not see storage advise on the product, so just to be safe, I store it in the fridge. Great product as far as I can tell. If I fail a drug test, I’ll come back and share that. Haha!

I've tried many hemp proteins, and this is by far the best one! So clean, so good and taste and texture! I'm very impressed and happy with it.

This product is just what I wanted. It doesn't have a strong taste and it's fine enough to mix right into water, smoothies, or whatever you'd like. I prefer plant based protein and like that this is a complete protein with fiber and good fats. I use this with Amazing Greens superfood powder in plain water. I shake it up and guzzle it down in the mornings to give me a jump start because I'm not a breakfast eater. I've used a different brand of hemp protein years ago and it had a very strong taste, but this does not, which I love - it's hard to find something without flavors and stevia. Also love that it comes in a big bag and is very affordable in comparison to others I've looked at.

Flavor is ok. Doesn't mix the greatest in water- better in milk. I find a slight grit, but not bothersome. High protein and other nutrients at a value price. About to order another bag

Being plant based I have tried many hemp protein powders. All of them have been gritty and not so pleasant to consume. This product is AMAZING!! I can mix it in a blender bottle of water or add it to my smoothies and it does not have a gritty texture and does not change the taste of my shakes! Definitely will buy again!

First and foremost, this product has high quality, organic ingredients (purely hemp) Out of all protein powders on the market, this one settles very well in my gut, unlike many For hemp protein powders, this also has a much lighter taste and more easily digestible for me It's a great deal! Low cost for high quality! As a health coach, I highly recommend this product.

Extremely disappointing. I have eaten whole hemp hearts with no ill effects before so I assumed this protein powder would work for me. Unfortunately, every time I tried drinking this stuff my throat immediately started closing and I had a hard time breathing, my entire mouth would get swollen, and I'd generally feel ill. I was never even able to finish a single serving. pretty crazy. I wish this wasn't the case as I was really looking forward to this product being a staple in my new diet moving forwards. Spent over $40 on this but had to throw it out since it can't be returned. Worst part is I have no real choice but to give up on what is supposed to be a wonderful/healthy protein source. Would love to understand what exactly the issue was/is but can't seem to get any clarification anywhere I look.
