PleatcoPPS2100 - Water Purification Unit with Chlorine Reduction, Iron Material

My community has very hard water and this filter is a great choice to use while filling any pool. You can visually see the iron it traps and I am sure other items as well. Once filled, my pool water is nearly perfect in all forms.

I've used this filter to fill my spa. Rural well has lots of mineral deposits etc. and this works very well.

It's hard to screw on and off. So far pool has been better and not cloudy or green

This is the same one that I bought a couple of years ago---the new one I just received is definitely not made the same ( and not in a good way) It appears to be a lot cheaper --fragile and the media is different. Not recommended

We filled our pool with our well water. Which then reacted with the pool chemicals. The iron in our water turned the entire pool brown.Thanks to this filter when we now add water to the pool, the iron gets All filtered out! No more brown pool water when we SHOCK the pool!We can swim all summer crystal clear!

I used this filter to add about 3-4,000 gallons of water to my inground pool and it did not filter much of the metals out. Filters I've used in the past would turn orange from the copper/iron (city water) and this one didn't. I will spend a few bucks more for a better filter from now on.
