China: From Empire to People's Republic 1900-49 (Access to History) 2nd Edition

I have been an IB History teacher for nearly 20 years and I rely heavily on the Access to History series. I have used Lynch's books on China, in particular this one as they combine the perfection combination of in-depth knowledge and student-accessible language. This book is essential for anyone trying to build an IB syllabus, especially one focused on Europe since Lynch's study of China provides an excellent "other region" option. I use this book successfully in conjunction with my own note taking guide.The Six Keys To The Kingdom

I am not doing any of the exams this textbook is designed for but an independent coursework on the period. I found it to be a great reference guide for when important events happened and what happened their in layman's terms.
