If star anise were hiding from me on purpose, it would make sense. I can never find enough of it in the store, and when I do, it’s usually a sad little jar with three lonely stars rattling around. This pack solved that problem beautifully. The star anise arrived whole, fragrant, and gorgeous. Big, intact pieces with that warm, slightly sweet spice aroma that instantly feels cozy. I use them primarily for simmer pot bags, and they’re perfect for it. They hold their shape, look beautiful in the bags, and release just the right amount of scent without overpowering everything else. If you’re tired of hunting through spice aisles and still coming up short, this is absolutely worth it. Great quality, great quantity, and now my simmer pots are finally living their best life

So pretty and fragrant! I used these in my Christmas simmer pot gift bags. They added the right touch of spice and beauty. Because of the potency of the anise, I only used a couple per bag. Great value for money!

It did have some broken pieces, but that’s to be expected with anise. I was able to use those for my mulling bag, and there were more than enough whole pieces to add some elegance to the serving mugs for several holidays to come. The flavor and quality are overall excellent.

This was a fantastic purchase! Every Thanksgiving, I simmer apple cider in the slow cooker with orange slices, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and star anise, and the smell is pure holiday magic. It makes the whole house feel warm and welcoming! We keep a bottle of Applejack nearby so guests can add a splash if they’d like. Star anise was surprisingly hard to find locally, so this was such a convenient and affordable find. It was perfect for our Thanksgiving tradition and I’ll definitely be buying it again for the holidays!

I used this star anise for simmer pot kits I prepared for a Christmas market, where both presentation and scent really matter. The aroma was strong and fresh right out of the bag. When paired with my other spices, it created that classic holiday scent. The kind that instantly makes you think of Christmas time with family. That part definitely delivered. Some of the stars were nicely sized and intact, while others were smaller or partially broken. Dried spices like star anise are naturally delicate, so some breakage during shipping is understandable. If you’re using it for cooking or infusing, the variation in size won’t matter. For decorative uses where fully intact pieces are important, you may want to order a little extra so you can sort through for the best-looking ones. Given the price point, I felt it was a fair value. The simmer pots were well received at the market, and customers were happy with the scent and overall presentation, which tells me the quality worked for its intended purpose. Overall, it met my expectations, just go in knowing that dried spices won’t always arrive perfectly whole.

Freshness was excellent!

This was a very aromic product definitely good for cooking or for putting on the stove top to freshen the home very arromic. Definitely will buy again good price point. You will not be disappointed. If you're buying this for decoration there was some broken pieces on some of them I didn't mind because I wasn't buying it to use as decoration so you might consider that if you're wanting them all to come whole to you.

I was happy with amount of the anise in the packet as I was making homemade Christmas potpouri for Christmas gifts, but I was disappointed that approximately 10% were broken and not a fully complete star, but that is just an estetic appearance. They smell wonderful and I am certain will smell lovely in the tea bag when placed in boiling water.
