I was uncertain that my PD 9260 was working properly as the batteries were boiling like crazy, so I bought this pendant to see what the controller was doing. My deep cycle batteries were the problem, and the pendant helped me to make the correct diagnosis. By using the manual bypass button on the pendant I could check the voltage output of the controller at each stage, and determined that the controller was functioning properly. It saved me from buying a new controller for more than $200. The down side is that I need to spend $500 on new batteries. :-(

I bought this while I was doing an update to my Motor Home last year. It was a great choice. I wanted the ability to monitor my battery state and also have the ability to control the charge rate. With this little pendant you can quickly see the state of your batteries and it’s charge rate, this allows me to put a “boost charge into my batteries or put the batteries in a “storage mode” this helps to aid your battery’s life. Most charges put a full charge on your batteries and then goes to a trickle charge, even when the battery does not need the charge. This is a great addition to your battery charger/monitor.

Plugs in easily and does the job. Cord isn't quite long enough to put the unit where I would have preferred but that's a small issue.

This review pertains to the pendant as well as the PD9200 series Power Converter that was purchased along with it. This is a qualified rating since there has been no long term testing yet. However, the product installed with no difficulty and appears to work correctly. The multiple charge modes is an excellent feature and should help to prolong battery life. The pendant allows you to see what mode the converter is in and to force it to another mode if you wish.

Easy to install with fantastic online and printed instructions. I had to use the cut and splice method for my converter but it was easy. I love being able to see in what mode my converter is operating.

WARNING: if you are replacing your power converter unit in your RV, just know that there is ALREADY ONE OF THESE INCLUDED IN THE BOX WITH THE CONVERTER, so when it suggests to buy this item along with the converter, well, you will end up with two of them. Thanks amazon for your ridiculous redundancy.

Boosted The amp output on my converter for my rv from 13.6 to 14.4. Just plugged it into the side of my Progressive dynamic converter and works perfect.

Turned out that it wasn't needed as one comes with the charger.
