great for my 7 year old
My seven year old daughter is a promising little gymnast. This book is easier to read than she is capable of, but she still enjoys reading it over and over. She loves that the illustrations show realistic moves done well. I like the fact that it prominantly shows an African American character. It isn't easy to find gymnastics related things with "Brown" (as she calls herself) people in them.

Perfect for 5-Year Old Aspiring Gymnast
Love the photos of the young gymnasts, and so does my 5 year old great-granddaughter who is starting gymnastics soon. She will be reading these books in no time.

Progressive Reading skills with Gymnastics theme
Another great book to that I read with my aspiring gymnast daughter. It is a great way to tie gymnastics in with progressing reading skills. I can also see it as a good book to get for a child who may want to be in gymnastics.

Gymnastics book
Good book for any children who are taking gymnastics classes or are interested in gymnastics. Easy to read for children that are still learning to read but want to read books on their own.

Really lovely for a 4/5/6 year old girl
This is essentially a reading book, rather than a gymnastics book. It shows in clear, simple language how to do the basic things like a forward roll, and what the equipment is (bars beam etc). It is designed for the child to read. For a little girl who enjoys gymnastics, it would be a nice way to encourage her to read.

rubbish
i'm a bg club coach and got this as a learning aid for my 3 groups (juniors, intermediates and seniors)it did not suit any of the childrenit might have been ok for a child doing a school coaching/sports project but they would have to be of1) an age that they can read2) an age that they dont find it patronisingdont waste your money, buy a hola hoop at least then the adults can have some fun too

Disappointingly light on detail
I bought this looking for a book on gymnastics for my niece to teach her drills and techniques. Unfortunately it is aimed at young readers and is really just a reading book on the subject of gymnastics and doesn't contain much of interest (to me at least). Might be OK for an 6/7 year old who is practising reading and interested in the subject, but doesn't have much content.
