Wrong Size Grab On Grips - 3/4 inch Inner Diameter
I have two men's 10-speed bikes and have previously purchased, installed, and even replaced grips for both bikes. I bought these after doing a little research and finding that Grab On makes good quality grips for old-fashioned drop-handle 10-speed bikes. However, the product description fails to indicate that they are selling 3/4 inch interior diameter grips and are too narrow for traditional 10-speed bikes. 99% of older speeds have 1 inch diameter handlebars and require 7/8 inch diameter grips. Grab On make handlebar grips in 3 different diameters, including 7/8 inch grip, but these grips are NOT the required size. I spent over an hour of hard work, sweat, and soapy water trying unsuccessfully to get just one of these four grips onto 1 inch aluminum alloy handlebars ... no dice. The 8.25 inch grips won't slide more than 7 inches onto the handlebars, no matter how much soap you use.... and good luck getting it back off when you find they are the wrong size. I went back online, found 7/8 inch grips from Sunlite. Upon their arrival, I installed all four 7/8 diameter Sunlite grips in less than 15 minutes with my usual soap and water technique. So, if you need Drop Bar Grips for an old 10 speed, don't buy these Grab On grips unless they can guarantee you they are sending the larger 7/8 inch interior diameter grip set. Otherwise, look up the Sunlite grips, double check that they are 7/8 inch interior diameter, and buy them instead.

Tough and Comfortable
After a ride this weekend on my nice road bike which gets neglected in favor of my commuter and my mountain bike, I realized that the tape and the gloves I use for cushioning on the road bike handlebars don't give me anywhere near the comfort my Grab-Ons give me on my commuter.I've had these Grab-Ons on my commuter (frequent use, short distance) for well over a decade. They give great grip, feel, great shock absorption, don't get soggy in the rain, and they just don't wear out. I'd expected they'd fairly soon start to shred, but they haven't at all. This weekend, when I decided to search for better bar cushioning for my fancy bike, I was delighted to find that the same company is still in business selling the same product plus a lot more applications for all kinds of bikes. So I've ordered a new set. I recommend getting their stuff for any kind of grip application on your bike.Installation, I remember, was easy, with the use of the lubricant/adhesive offered. You just have to get the tape and the hand brake sets off the bar, slip the tubes and hand brake gear back into the right spots, tighten up your brake gear, make final adjustments, and the tube lube sets in a while and secures the pads to the bar. They never slip after that, and you'll have happy hands.

I like these much better than bar tape
My hands are stiff from old age and with these thick Grab Ons, my drop bars are more comfortable. My fingers don't cramp (using padded gloves, too) and I think my bike is easier to control. If you are having problems with taped bars, you might do better with these Grab Ons.One other thing: to me they are much better in the wet than tape.Grab Ons don't last forever: eventually UV kills 'em and you'll have to buy new ones.I used soapy water plus liquid laundry detergent to install mine. It takes a bit of work & strong hands to get the job done. You'll have to remove your brake levers, too,

The best padding!
My wife and I bicycle about 3,500 miles a year. Grab Ons are the best handlebar padding for your hands. We've used them for years and many miles and they have held up admirably. My handlebar is set up like the antlers of a pronghorn antelope with bar ends extending everywhere. I've got mainly Grab Ons on most of the bar ends and some rubber padding on the others. The Grab Ons are the most comfortable. I keep the knobby rubber ones so that I can scratch my hand if there is an itch.

Nice feel
These handle bar grips were a little hard to get on the handle bars but they fit perfectly and definitely do the job.

as advertised - good product
Glad I could find these Grab on comfort grips on Amazon--hard to find at the bike shops when I looked for them. Slipped on easily according to instructions. No complaints.

Still going after 51 years
I got a set of these for my new 1978 Fuji roadbike. In my 20s and 30s I toured a lot, local and cross country. Then a little less in my 40s and 50s. Not so much in my 60s. Now I am 70 years old and started riding again. I still use the same bike and have kept it maintained very well. Some upgrades to the bike, and still running very well. These Grab-On grips have always been so comfortable, are still in not too bad shape. They are just now starting to split, and the foam is just now showing some small signs of deterioration. Believe it or not, they are still very usable, but I thought I would get a new set for my riding again. Now in 2019 After 51 years of use I thought I would love to get the same brand. But Amazon says not currently available. I am disappointed. Does anyone know where I can get another set? If not I will keep using these, maybe I can get another 10 years out of them. Thanks
