The Ten Granted Paradise

history in context
This is an excellent work by the renowned scholar. I have recently become familiar with his lectures through a colleague and have found that his work resurfaces concepts I had been taught since childhood and present them in a different context—ones that I had previously not thought of.The discourse is especially enlightening in that Dr. Sayed Ammar takes a well known ahadith (narration of the Prophet) and presents it in a different light--he contests the popular opinion of many that twelver "imami" muslims reject the companions of the Prophet and shows that they in fact hold them in very high regard, to the likes of Abu Dhar, Bilal al-Habashi, Salman al-Muhammadi and a few others. Not to mention, the book is a very easy read and can be absorbed by multiple age groups, non-Muslims and Muslims alike for a very interesting perspective previously unheard of. With “The Ten Granted Paradise”, Dr. Sayed Ammar has once again displayed that he is indeed one of the most prominent thinkers of the Muslim world in the 21st century.

A concise and verifiable account
I have been listening to Dr. Nakshwani for a while now, and I was really impressed by his emphasis on history. I must say that this book can seem a little hostile to our brothers and sisters in ahl-e-sunnah, However, all accounts are verifiable. Muslims suffer today because we are not aware of the true facts of history and this book can serve as a stepping stone in our quest for the truth.

Great little treasure
I have been very fortunate to have listened to many of Ammar's lectures and always find them captivating and inspirational . This is the first time I have read one of his books . I find the book very easy to read and follow , equally captivating as his lectures and as usual very well researched . Constant reference to the present day issues is very much Ammar's style and of course very welcoming . This book is a great little treasure with the short concise histories of each of the great personalities who to this day inspire us not just to be better human beings but also rise against all kind of injustices in this world.Excellent read !

An absolute gem
An absolute gem. A great analysis of the history of not only the lives of the ten granted paradise, meaning the ten Sahaba who were granted the paradise but also the events that unfolded around them.

It is an inspirational book on some amazing companions of the prophet
This is the first review of anything I have ever posted. But I felt compelled to write it. The book (like the author's many lectures) is concise and very well structured. It is an inspirational book on some amazing companions of the prophet. There is no doubt in my mind that anyone who reads this with an open heart and mind will definitely gain a clearer perspective on the early days of Islam. My only criticism (albeit very minor) is that I felt some more detail in chapters would have added a lot to my enjoyment. That being said the book is still a phenomenal read.

Informative and easy to read
I enjoyed reading this book. It took me on a journey with each person intertwined eloquently with stories of the Imam Ali(SA). It is written with not only a great deal of well conveyed knowledge but with emotion and empathy which made it one of the books that you don't want to put down. Highly recommended
