A bit snug

These are the lightest, most stable and waterproof, and overall comfortable shoes I have ever owned. Unfortunately, Arcteryx discontinued them so this pair is one of four I purchase to ensure I have them for the long foreseeable future.

Very good all round urban / lite trail hiker shoe. The fit is spot on due to its molded construction, which may be too tight for some people used to a looser type fit. This is my second pair. Molds to your feet. GoreTex proved to be good for moderate rain. Be advised this a not a heavy duty trail runner type shoe with a heavy Vibram sole. Only negative is that the sole will wear out more quickly than a full Vibram sole. Another plus is that the rubber Virbam compound and tread pattern they use is very effective on slippery surfaces. If you have ever slipped and fell on a slippery surface in a shop you will appreciate this feature.My first pair performed well in the Philippines on a recent 2 month visit under pretty tough conditions in the provinces. If you backpack (20 pounds plus) with these shoes on rocky trails your feet will start to hurt in about an hour due the stones poking through. Short hikes with day back (under 10 pounds) are ok. I would give it 5 stars if the soles were a bit more heavy duty. Within its design limits it performs very well.

Buy them if you can get them. Somewhat hard to find, but extremely nice shoes. I have narrow feet, and these are definitely narrow, but cradle my feet well. They are very light, and have surprising grip considering the tread pattern. I have been using them daily for a couple months now, everything from walking the dog, to craggy rock, and steep loose dirt accents, these shoes stick like mad. My one wish: deeper tread depth. It took me awhile to find them, and I fear though the upper which has the build quality of a fine dress shoe will last, the soles will wear, and then I will be stuck searching again for a comparable replacement. Otherwise, comfy and gorgeous.
