I purchased to stock pantry. They arrived dented, one was dented right at the top edge of the kid, so I used it up in case it developed a leak or went bad somehow. It also have me a taste of the product, since I hadn't had it before. It comes in chunks of meat with the consistency and look of pot roast. I peed the meat and juices into a pan, heated it up good, broke up some of the bigger chunks with a fork, them used some milk and floor to make a gravy which had plenty of juice without adding any. You need spices,I used garlic powder and a couple others with salt and pepper. I also added a can of corn to the mixture. Served over rice, was pretty tasty, my wife liked it too. But at 11 bucks a can, it's not something I'd buy for everyday use, but in a survival type setting it would be worth much more. Long term storage is why I bought it, but happy to try out a can. As described above, I think it would feed 6 people.

Great way to add meat to any meal--microwave, stir-fry, stew. Not to mention not having to eat MREs during hurricane season. The greatest concern is packaging. Ten cans of this is heavy and needs sturdy packaging. Sometimes I wonder where someone's brain is. Amazon seems to think small packages rattling around in a large box with a sheet of paper for padding is okay. That may be fine for feather pillows but not for heavier items. Fortunately, the inner box was very well packed by someone. We ordered these from a different vendor, and received the box torn open and soaked with meat juice. This order from this vendor was excellently packed, at least the inner box. We'll order again.

I made an I Italian meat sauce with it. I didn't tell my family and they didn't know the difference. They are very picky and thought it was ground beef from the farm where I usually purchase beef.

Edit: I contacted Amazon as the page noted possible refund or replacement. Amazon did provide a refund. They said they would give feedback to appropriate dept. re the packing problem./ Sad to report that 7 of 12 of these reportedly delicious, and expensive, items, cannot be added to storage due to condition in which they arrived, which I guess no one takes responsibility for.

I purchased this canned beef because of a story my husband has been telling me about his grandpa for years. His grandma had made canned beef and noodles for every meal, (yes, breakfast, lunch and dinner.....every day!), for his grandpa, along with the normal foods that a person would make for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Even on holidays, right next to the turkey, there was canned beef with noodles! I was a bit sceptical, I admit, that a person could crave this with every meal. Upon receipt of the canned beef I immediately made the beef and noodles, (after years of hearing this story, I wanted answers). I was so much more than pleasantly surprised!!! Shocked in fact, by the flavor, and now by the fear that I may be developing the taste for beef and noodles with every meal!!!! Now, unfortunately, for our family, the canned beef is for special occasions ONLY! I must tell those of you who ponder the purchase, or might be a bit hesitant to purchase "meat in the can", there is NO PONDERING necessary!!! Buy all you can get!!!!

Ordered 6 cans ground beef. Box was in good condition but 5 out of the 6 cans inside were dented at the seam rendering them unsafe to consume. As the product is nonreturnable/nonrefundable we are stuck with a product we are unable to use.

Keystone canned beef is the best tasting of the canned meats they offer (pork, chicken, turkey, and especially the ground beef). We like it with Cookies Original BBQ Sauce and also with noodles (also add a can of beef broth). A good purchase for when you're snowed-in & can't get to the grocery store. Contains some fat which I spooned out prior to heating.

This was shockingly delicious. It’s not processed meat. It’s like pot roast. It’s a little pricey but being as you only need to heat it up, since it’s already cooked, the time saved makes up for it. I’ll keep a few of these on hand for emergencies as well as just a quick, delicious meal.
