A good addition to my collection.

I like another reviewer watched a read through of chapter 1 of the novel from Rogersbase but only after I had received the book. It was great reading about Ace's starting adventures before the New World and how Ace assembled his crew. As you will find out, Ace and Luffy are similar in that aspect. The marine on the front cover is an interesting character. Knowing that everything in the novel is factual material within the One Piece story will get you asking so many questions. As a One Piece fan, I would highly recommend getting the physical copy of the novel or the kindle version.

Ace being my favourite character, I bought this book on pre order many many months ago, I'm not disappointed. The cover has coloured shiny foil on many parts, it looks great, the image dont do it justice. Sad reminder of Ace's fate but it's nice to experience the parts of Ace's life that we know of but had little information and never got to see. This book goes into Ace and the Spade pirates.

This novel is better than I imagined. It gives a detailed insight to Ace's journey after he leaves for the open sea and everything up until he joins Whitebeards ship as well as the formation of the Spare Pirates, his encounter with Shanks, and his rise a super rookie! Obviously, this is split between the first and second novel, but I would highly recommend you get both as a fan!
