This mono is slightly thicker than other mono at the same weight class but it's stiff and makes good leader material. I've caught several fish trolling with it and it holds up well.

Best in class for land based sharking
Photos are just a few of the fish over 10 feet we’ve landed this year on Elmax 100, 130 and 150. From monofilament under 200 we use this exclusively and its yet to let us down. Because of it’s very high abrasion resistance, hard coating, tendency not to stretch out like other brands and good strength to diameter ratio it is ideal for catching very large fish from land. Normally with most lines you have to change out a top shot after every large fish but with this we’ve only got to trim off a couple feet thus saving time and money that can be better spent elsewhere. Two of the fishing the pictures were even caught back to back on the same 100 pound top shot. It’s hard to find any other brand that can do the same even at twice the price
