This is a versatile beautiful sounding lush reverb.
The MOOER R7 is a great value for the money. A micro pedal containing 7 different reverb models with versatility and tweakability ranging from a simple room ambiance of a mic a few inches from an amp to Lush atmospheric modulated singing cavernous reverb. It passes signal very well and is able to accept a decent amount of boost or overdrive going through it without squashing and peaking out. The original input signal appears to be pure and unmolested adding reverb to the dry signal when the level knob is increased. All 7 of the reverb models are adjustable by 5 perimeters and savable as patches. Even when unplugged the unit goes directly to the last used model when powered up again. I found the LC and HC EQ knobs are very useful when creating large lush atmospheres as they allow the tails to be very large and full without the bass stacking up and overwhelming the original signal. The spring reverb model is also MUCH better than many pedals in this price point, if the pre-delay knob is set to 1/2 or more it will give a boing/drip. Overall this is a nice low noise, highly useful and versatile reverb pedal with saveable presets and high quality impulse models.

Really great for guitar AND synthesizer ambient genre
I’m a songwriter/composer under performance rights organization, BMI, Inc. I’m also a self administered publisher under The Mechanical Licensing Collective (The MLC). I write and record commercially licensed music, under four music libraries. And at times, I write songs for retail sale.List of positives:I did not want to spend a lot of money for this sort of ambient long decay reverb, there is one or two other companies out that that change HUGE amounts of money for this simple effect. So price at $85.00 is well worth it.I use this more for synthesizer, and it amazing on how much this improves different sound patches that I use. From piano, to strings and even the TB-303 bass synth' clone that I have.. when I max out the settings, sometimes I can get overtones to the point that the sound is totally different if that makes sense.List of Negatives:The first is a product is only as good as the company behind it, and going on 4 weeks now, the company never emailed back after sending them a message via their web site email "form". As some one who writes music and is under a few music organizations, It's surprising NOT to see any replies from a company via email.. usually there is AT LEAST a help support desk. So, customer service from the company after the sale, may be non-existent from my current experience. While it's possible to buy a 9volt battery "clip" to dc plug to power the pedal, there is no internal compartment for a battery. So you'll need to buy a power adapter that is 9v, tip is to: negative polaritylike many standard power adapter for guitar pedals (the majority).Another observation, is that the is always voltage going into the pedal, even if the pedal foot "switch" is off / bypass. While the pedal has a metal housing (which is great) it DOES get warm regardless. In my studio, I have this hooked up to a separate surge protector, so if I need to take a break, I can just power it off manually. I've seen other mini pedals that are like this as well and having them on a separate surge protector helps with powering them on and off.If you are into ambient music, this is a must have buy... Really, it's that good. - MrTom

GREAT reverb pedal with a few minor issues
Mooer's newest addition to their micro pedal line. The A7 Ambience is one of the better reverb pedals I've owned. Beautiful reverb sounds that absolutely hang with the Strymon Blue Sky and Big Sky I used to own. The modulation is beautiful and similar to the Boss RV-5, and you can get huge reverbs with tons of decay if wanted. Good things aisde, there are a few issues with this pedal that they need to address. Luckily it comes with a USB port for future firmware upgrades. Below I outline some of the first updates that -need- to happen to make this pedal more usable.A few caveats:There is a volume drop once you go above 50% on the Mix control which makes getting a more prominent reverb sound hard if you want your levels to remain the same. They need to make sure the dry signal volume stays even until you go fully wet.The Infinite hold feature is cool, you just step on the footswitch and the reverb continues to trail, but there's two issues with this feature. First is that the volume of the Infinite hold is too low, you can barely hear it. It needs to be louder. Also there is a beeping sound that seems to pulse in rhythm with the LED (which flashes when you hold the footswitch down) when using the Infinite hold feature, it's annoying.I have emailed Mooer about these issues and hopefully they will be addressed soon.

Low price, fun, novel sound
Awesome little pedal with a unique sound. This pedal is half the price of any other decent synth pedal. It tracks amazingly and it's loud as hell. A few of the modes are iffy but over all I would recommend it. I played it today against a ehx mono synth and it genuinely held its own. I'm impressed. It's missing a volume knob though.

Works best with a digital multI effects companion great for the price
On its own it gets old fast even though it's extremely fun the effects aren't really something your going to use twice ,but where it really shines was with my boss multi effects ,the multi effects pedal adds alot more drive, and you can go in a change the parameters of each effect then turn into to synth with the E7,I found it worked way better with the multi effects then my analog pedals just because of the ability to adjust and ease of accessing hundreds of effects with a whole new synth sound.a game changer.it still plays more like a trigger with only so much sensitivity, but add in to an existing effect and you got a game changer.
